My Mortal Kombat (2011) Kombatants Predictions (Comments would be nice.)

Someone mentioned that the post MK3 characters aren't going to be in, but *some* like Quan Chi were already active before MK4 began. Sub-Zero: Mythlogies. Which I cna't spell to save my life. Sareena was also in that. These characters potentially can be included without effecting the storyline too much.

Kira, Kobra? No chance. They come much later.

I was just saying, the MK team haven't forgotten they exist.

Quan Chi, Sareena, Kia, Jataaka, and even Fujin might have a chance because they were all active in Mortal Kombat: Mythologies.

Shinnok as active as well, but he hadn't escaped the Neitherealm yet so was trapped, meaning = no chance.

Well I guess something could change in the storyline so he would be released. However that does seem unlikely.

Aw man. I can't upload the roster I made from Microsoft word. I wanted to show it to others too. :(

And definitely ignore this attachment.

She was a lot more agile and had almost the same move set.

I'm thinking in terms of playing as them. There's no way she could replace a boss like goro.
But playing as him is not so great.

I've gotten a few responses from over a lot of the other MK sites. But I need one here too, why Quan Chi?
Let me list out a few of the reasons why he shouldn't be in:
1. He has no point in being in a game that spans MK1-MK3.
2. Him being in MKM that happened before MK1 really only did two things for him: causing the death of Scorpion and subsequently the original Sub-Zero.
3. (Kind of leading off of 2), he didn't do much that was vital to the MK1-MK3 storyline above that of causing those characters to die.
4. Storywise, He kind of can't leave the Netherrealm until the events of MK4 happen, since it's a reboot, I could see a retcon happening, but I wouldn't be too fond of it.
5. Him being in as a character already would be poor marketing, he's one of the most non-trilogy asked for characters. It would be pretty reasonable and smart for him if he becomes DLC so they could milk him for the cash-cow he is.

Those are all excellent points. Very above average for a post from a guy I haven't seen hide nor hair of around here before. I'm not fond of Quan Chi post MK4 so I can't say I want to see him return unless it's a return to his old outfit and personality. As for why he should be in the game, he's a sorcerer, commands an army of undead spectres (of which Noob Saibot is eventually a member) that we already know can infiltrate other realms (again, see Noob Saibot) and thus can have cameo appearance in the Netherrealm.

Technically MKSM took place during MK2 and yet at one point we follow Scorpion into the Netherrealm and even catch a glimpse of Noob Saibot so it is not at all unlikely that he couldn't appear specifically in that location only (in story mode). Plus then there might be an encounter with Shinnok and I'm very much for that happy occurrence.

However, all this could easily apply to DLC and his inclusion in the game out of the box is not necessary.

I don't care if Quan Chi is in the game in the initial release but I would really like to see him as DLC if they could explain why he would be there. He is a really cool character, but that is also partly due to his story.

Ya'll know what? I want Hornbuckle to be introduced since he was in the Pit 2 background in MK2. I just made him in MKA too.

Quan chi was used in MK VS DC, which covered MK2 approx. Which means they COULD write him into the game if they desired. He was active in MK:Myth; Sub-Zero which was BEFORE Mortal Kombat the orginal game happened though. So he has just been active since then. Also, Kahn took a lick at the netherealm during the MK3 (or MK2, can't remember right now) period, his home... So it could be a opening.

If they were to introduce some of those minor characters as playable fighters, this would probably be their last chance of ever being included in another MK game, since many were active during this time.

But, I wouldn't be that surprised if we see Tremor.

I will be very surprised if we Tremor, but it would still be awesomeness returning :o

They could at least do cameo apparences in the Story Mode. When the action is in Netherrealm we could se Shinnok there
