MvC3 Wins Best Fighter from X Play

I had to make a thread about this cause it has been the biggest disappointment of the year for me (and most likely plenty of you. This is a MK forum after all.)

X Play gave Gears of War 3 best shooter so I was hoping all their choices would be smart.

They gave Batman best action/adventure

But here were the nominees for best fighter:

-The most recent King of Fighters
-Mortal Kombat
-MvC3
-Street Fighter 3rd Strike
-Super Street Fighter IV AE

And they picked MvC3?

MvC3 was a great game when it was first released but then everyone found out how unbalanced it was, throwing many characters in the shadow of characters like Wesker and the Hulk. Is it just me or does MvC3 not deserve the award? Your thoughts please.

Well the only game I even played from that list was MK and MvC3, and I despised MvC with a passion. So my post would be highly opinionated :laugh:.
 
This is bs if you ask me. Really MVC3 fighter of the year? That's a joke. Then again capcom is so damn mainstream now they forgot how to even make a competitive/hardcore fighter anymore. I prefer MK and KOF. Of course KOF isn't going to get no love because it's not a kiss ass mainstream game, and MK I guess isn't Japanese enough for them. This is why I don't pay attention to this award crap.

WTF is SSF4 AE and TS even on the damn list? Those games aren't new. AE is just an update, and Third strike came out? What? 2001 or some crap? Wow. This is stupid.

but yeah, I dont care at all. I think MK9 is a better game, but I wont get pissy if someone doesnt agree. And thats what this all comes down to in the end. Dont deny it. I mean we are on a MK site after all. And I doubt everyone here has actually played KOF either, yet would use that as an excuse to why MVC shouldnt have won.

anyway, MVC is too unbalanced to be given this title in my opinion. But oh well. Not a single **** has been given from me. Nor would I care if they chose another game as the winner either.

But hey, MvC3 had to win something.. I mean come on... it's looking lonely out there with no awards.
 
well, i'm assuming they chose MVC3 due to it's hype and characters. Thats about the only reason I can think of, which is not a good reason at all.


........ oh shit, I'm not supposed to care about this, remember. lol
 
Personally, put up or shut up. You want a game that doesn't deserve this title out of the nominations? Get it out of your tournament streams.

Capcom raped it's customers with MvC3 and we rewarded them by giving it a place at EVO. Zomg, outrage when it wins something it didn't earn.
