I'm still waiting, badmouse, what about these props? If you don't want to share or anything, just tell me, and i'll create them myself![]()
Ok, I'm going to go ahead and take some creative liberty here, and say that I imagine the background was supposed to be red velvet. So that's what I've used as a texture in the updated version here.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, except for the framing. I like having the framing be 16:9 aspect ratiosince it tells the player immediately that this is MK HD. It's familiar yet we're using the frame to immediately point out that this version is 16:9 aspect instead of the original 4:3.![]()
I've updated the image with your comments corrected.
If you guys are still going for a "remake", then you should probably stick to the original aspect ratio. Scorpion's teleport is gonna function really differently if the fighting area is longer than before.

That mock-up (or whatever) smoke.tetsu posted is beautiful, BTW. Keep the good shit coming!
Thank you, Smoke, you totally made my day with that guy's deviantart gallery!!!!!
Bleed's stuff is definitely a million times better, but that other guy's stuff made me grin from ear to ear. I couldn't have described it better myself, even from behind his mask Sub-Zero looks like he's on the prowl for some hot man action. Clearly the guy who made all that stuff is totally gay, which is fine, I mean I think a gay version of MK would be spectacular, but it doesn't exactly fit what you guys are trying to do here. I really enjoyed looking at his gallery of hot gayness, though.
I think a nice feature would be able to add the music from the classic ports of the game (Genesis, Snes, ect) if that option is doable in Mugen.
Looks good, if I got the screen like that I wouldn't send it back. I still think metal flake like what I did looks a bit more like the original. Not only is it metal flake but it also kind of looks like blood which goes very well with MK. But what your did looks good too and is acceptable and looks a lot better than before.
Everything has Ambient Occlusion baked on the texture maps. The render it self doesn't have it on, it's a default Mental Ray render with 3 lights.
I'll keep messing with the cloth on this, It still looks bad to me.
What about making the costume look like it's been used. You know scratches, faded, dirt stains. He looks too much like a toy IMO all clean like that.
