Mortal Kombat 11 General Discussion Media Thread


Nice gameplay video, showing some kombos, less zoning, more strategic fight with less special moves than we have seen so far.

Good Scorpion kombos, nice showing Raiden's moves, never seen the cloud one. Also, real glad they kept his fighting style basically the same.

Loved this old Raiden outfit btw, one of my variations will surely have Light Raiden like this.
 
^ I really, really like the gameplay so far. It's almost as if they took MK9 and made it better. And that Scorpion's costume is the shit. The only thing I don't like is when you hit someone, you get this Street Fighter explosion effect. Looks lame.
 
I've wanted hit sparks in MK for the longest time. Adds impact to the moves. MKX had it, but it was barely noticable
 
Yea, the gameplay is looking really good, I liked both MK9's and X's systems, but 11's take is super interesting and open up for a lot more strategic options, can't wait to get my hands on it so I can just Lab all day.

They already have this slight animation pauses when you hit someone and camera shake. This looks like some cartoon effect.

The reason why people were upset with the MK3 roster wasn’t because Johnny Cage was missing, nor did a vocal majority complain when he was absent in MKvsDC.
People mostly complained about Scorpion missing and the horrible game mechanics in MKvsDC.
Let’s all not act like the Johnny Cage tombstone also isn’t a running joke.
Kano was also missing from MKII and no one even batted an eye.
Seems to me like the MK side of the MKvsDC roster is what NRS considers to be their “safe” / most important characters with Kano and Johnny being the wild card and Kung Lao added to that list.

Kano missing in MK4 was a bigger travesty thanks to Jarek. At least Kano had an NPC appearance in MKII.

I think it looks great. Makes hit confirming easier, which in a neutral heavy game like this is shaping up to be, that's very important
 
I suppose. I never really had an issue with hit confirming in MK games. Would be great if there would be a toggle for this.

I do agree. Don't make the game a mess for me, but reminds me of SF and other figthing games. I hope they stop at these hitsparks while blocking, and that's fine for me. Otherwise MK12 will have that black trail, eek.

Don't lose your hopes! Remember Fujin had a crossbow and Devastator. MKX he had a halberd.

I'm just worried they won't include MKX's Raiden staff. I mean, it was in the trailer, and I haven't seen in the customization menu though. I hope they bring that one back in the full game.

I feel like they should not show off the DLC characters until early April, so people know what they are buying before they download them.
 
Did they confirm that the 30th is about the Kombat pass? How are they going to show us dlc when not even half of the roster has been officially revealed yet?

They didn't, all we know about the Kast is that it is going to be a big one, and that we will prolly see Kabal and maybe someone else, I'm also in the camp that DLC reveals ain't coming till closer to the game's launch like they've done with all there other games.

This post alone shows that your leak is a fake. If you have nothing to prove, no one is going to believe you. The roster leaks for MK11 have been almost as bad as the Smash Bros Ultimate leaks that people did on 4chan before the game was out.
 
Yeah, I doubt they'd tease Kabal this early if he were gonna be DLC. It's different for Shao Kahn since he's pre-order DLC. But I don't recall any DLC characters in either of the previous games or the Injustice games that were apart of the season pass being teased before the whole base roster was revealed.

We had someone here screaming from the rooftops that the PS3 and 360 ports of MKX would come out on an exact date, and pulled the same bullshit when asked to show proof; "oh, I can't name my source, I'm sworn to secrecy." Yeah, like THAT ended up being true!

By the way, it is against forum rules to post false and misleading information. I hope [MENTION=28630]Rhizodus[/MENTION] is aware of that.
