Mortal Kombat 11 General Discussion Media Thread

Man if this is true Ed and company must be pissed, though we still have two unknowns and of course the six dlc's who we don't know of yet, also am I the only one who's kind of excited to see more new MK characters? Like I didn't want too many this time but I still like seeing fresh faces on the roster (especially with NRS stepping up there newcomer designs).
 
I don't know something is not right. If it was leaked by accident yesterday then the Nrs team would have known and told to whoever leaked it to stop. Then why would they come back again today and leak the rest??

Three possibilities, they weren't aware of it (kinda unlikely but these things happen) and Qloc kept going without thinking, Qloc is just trolling again (they did it for IJ2 DLC), this is some weird purposeful tease that was approved by NRS to get people talking (seems a bit outlandish but who knows)
 
It’s possible some may come in via DLC, but I can see how people that wanted them on the main roster may be upset.
 
I think the real test to see if this is just a troll list is if Qloc adds the 1-2 missing characters achievements after this, because if they do I will dub it super fake as there is no way they don't know what's happening at this point.

Ed boon knew right away what Dynasty said on YouTube after the kombat kast. And yesterday all over the YouTube there were videos on Erron Black is revealed so no way NRS didn't know about yesterday's leak
 
I keep mulling this over idk I'm kinda tired but one thing that points to the leaks favor (albeit not by much) is that if these really were fake placeholder names then....why? Why purposely make them abbreviations of real characters instead of just a bunch of codenames, it would feel kinda mean-spirited to hype people up/ get them upset over fake names of real characters for no reason other than for a few laughs.
 
I'm pulling for Jacqui so hard but I'm supporting this game regardless of the roster. Mortal Kombat has one of the best stories in fighting games and I refuse to me out on MK11
 
I need Jacqui to get a big overhaul. I want her to be physically bigger. I want her to actually look like Jax's daughter.
 
I like the picks for returning characters except for maybe Jacqui who definitely needs to be more interesting than she was in MKX. Jacqui I expected to take Jax's place anyway since Jax retiring was something that kept being foreshadowed in the last game.

The only thing that throws me way off though is the three new characters. Since at least with any of the returning characters I have some idea of what they're like. But with the new characters I have no idea.

I also don't think Kol is The Kollector, since those two leaks don't align.

Yeah, with the exception of MK vs DC, Reptile usually the one other male ninja at least. It's not like they aren't aware that the ninjas tend to be very popular.





Also, does anyone know if there's any examples of character name codes like this in previous MK games? Just curious, as ERR could be Ermac as an example, though I do think Erron Black makes a lot more sense as a choice. I'm just going to expect what the leak says at face value with a grain of salt regardless. If following leak discussions have taught me anything its that completely convincing leaks can sometimes end up being false and faulty ones can end up being true.

Man these news suck. Not the best thing to read after waking up. I don’t have a problem with new characters or Jacqui and Frost. But when it comes to taking away spots from any ninja character besides Sub and Scorp it is really disappointing. No Shang Tsung is a joke. How about Fujin? Really, I am glad for people who wanted these characters back but the roster of 25 is just not big enough after MKX has introduced a bunch of actually returning new characters.
 
No Fujin, Rain, Smoke or Noob... or Shang... =/

I can't believe they're bringing back Jacqui shitting Briggs, but at least it seems Kotal is confirmed. That's definitely good news. I know a lot of people will be happy with Jade and Frost as well - I'm 50/50 with them personally, but I have no problem with them coming back. Sareena would have been nice, too - I'm still holding out hope for her, even if as DLC.

No idea who TER, CET and KOL are - new or DLC characters I guess?
