Mortal Fantasy Football Kombat 2013

May I ask how many fans asked for the player who in my opinion should've drafted instead of that fat-ass plumber? You know, the hometown hero who took down USC in the National Title Game, only for his career to be sabotaged by Jeff Fisher?

I didn't even think of that. Surprisingly, there were no Vince Young votes. Although, were Keenum not also a local hero, I bet there would have been

IMO, Keenum is not that bad of a QB (obviously HEAPS better than Failschaub), he just has a pretty bad team around him.....He's a young guy with promise.

But Keenum still hasn't won a game. Last I checked, the quarterback's primary responsibility is to win the damn game, not to put up good stats.

I love how I've got you guys talking Texans lol.

Seriously though Schaub is done. Keenum will win games if the rest of the team gets their shit together

You can't rely on one guy to win games. The same thing happens in Dallas. I mean, yeah, Romo can make some pretty stupid moves, but, he also has a team in front of him that doesn't always mesh together. When the team loses, everyone blames Romo. When the team wins, OMG ROMO HAD SUCH A GREAT GAME!1!!! I am pretty blunt when it comes to talking about how awful the Cowboys can be, but, blaming things on ONE person is not always the answer. Romo has messed up a few games with picks and sacks and whatever other bullpoop he can come up with, but, his team can also contribute to a loss when they make dumb plays. He isn't the only one who loses a game, his team loses as well....again, not saying he is not always at fault, he is quite good at getting interceptions at the absolute worst times, but, he is still not always to blame. Same with Keenum. I think one of the main differences, though, is that Dallas actually has some great players, they just need to make sure they are on the same page at times. Keenum has garbage to work with, pretty much. Can't put the entire blame on him, his team blows, and his coach is a dildo.

Romo has had some bad games where Dallas has won, and he has had some good games where Dallas has lost. Houston is definitely a case where the entire team is pretty much to blame for being poo and that is why they lose.

Which is funny my interest in Houston-based NFL teams started declining after the Buffalo debacle (of course, I have ALWAYS hated the Rockets due to being a Spurs fan), and I ignored Houston-based teams completely by the time the Oilers bolted for Tennessee.

Football has been a quarterback-driven sport for decades, going as far back as the Unitas era (or perhaps even the Sammy Baugh era). It's common knowledge that the quarterback gets credit for the wins, and gets blamed for the losses. Is it fair to judge quarterbacks as such? In my opinion, it is, because not only is he the only player on the field who touches the ball on every play, but also because he is the de facto leader of the team on the field. In someone else's opinion, it may not be fair, but nonetheless, that's the way it is.

EDIT: OMG! Three-way Tie atop the Earthrealm Division. Looks like tiebreakers are going to bump myself and LC up a spot in the standings. Yung better get his Eagles bye week situation together in a hurry, or else his Eagles-heavy roster is screwed, and I'm already smelling blood in the water.

I know how it goes, I just always found it stupid. When Dez blew up a few weeks ago, it was OMG WHAT A HORRIBLE TEAM PLAYER, yet, it's 'okay' to blame a single guy for a win or loss. It's a TEAM effort. Guys can make mistakes, sure thing, not saying they don't (Romo makes plenty lol) but those mistakes can be turned around for the better if the team gets it together.

Not saying you are absolutely wrong or anything, just saying, I've always hated the whole single guy blame...if the team wins, the team wins. If the team loses, the team loses. Just how I see it. If someone goofs, the team should at least try to get things back together.

Anyway, crazy standings this year....

Really like the analysis on each player against each team when you scroll over that player's matchup. I've seen it on a few of my out league sites (and actually was using them to figure out matchups on NFL.com), so I'm glad they implemented that feature.

good god, I am so lucky this week, lol, I will never start anyone over Romo ever again, even if they are playing the Jags. Time to drop Keenum, damn....

LOL the night Julian Edelman is having for Yung has got Trashman shaking in his boots
