we dont know yet this trailer is just a taste what we going see so like liu kang going the last reveal and waht about 3 that defintaly liu kang boot

Of course I can, so that's why I'm picking Liu out of the bunch.
Yeah we don't know everything, not everything is revealed, but I'm sticking to this opinion of mine until proof shows me otherwise.
And the boot picture, I really am not going to picture who's who based on a shoe.

I remember as a kid at the arcade people hating Liu. When Deadly Alliance came out people cheered, then he came back as a zombie. Now you got a mixture of longtime fans and MK9 fans, each has those who hate Liu but can never give a ungeneric reason. To be honest I don't care for him, but don't care if he is in or not.

Well he's not charismatic enough to be the hero of the franchise, his outfit is uninspired since he just wears shorts and a headband, no shirt? that's lazy and he has fire moves which are too damn common, yes I know he was the first character to get fire moves but well... he's not the only one any more, and characters like Scorpion have a better fire based moveset than Liu Kang.
I don't hate him, I just don't like him at all.

Well, it does kinda look like they just took Cassie and painted her brown when making Jacqui.

Well that npc which is called li mei is an usual nrs female face, but yes, cassie, Jacqui and sindel looked awesome in the trailerI'd just like to take a moment to state, for the record, the fact that NRS done not f'ed up the female's faces this game.
In fact, one might say they uh... they done good.

Damn. Now that you mention it, yeah. Her face is kinda like a darker shade with generic greco beauty standard waiifu videogame face. Still can't wait to play as her and see how her story plays out.

Bioware is known for fantastic character modeling, and they've had some butt ugly NPCs over the years. It happens.

Wow. That trailer was incredible. This is everything I've wanted to see from MKX. A strong focus on the new gang. And boy was it amazing.
I ADORE the four newcomers. Jacqui, Cassie, Takeda and Kung Jin already interest me more than Kang, Sonya and Johnny. In the case of Cassie and Jacqui (so far), there seems to be a whole lot of personality. I hope Takeda and Jin have more to say in future trailers.
Speaking of Takeda....
The cameos in the trailer have left me super pumped as well. Shinnok looks absolutely amazing and I will be so pissed if he's nothing more than cameo within the game itself. He has never looked better. Normally I am against playable boss characters, but damn... I want him to make the roster so freakin' bad. Or at least DLC. Something!
Sindel was a fun cameo. But I can't see her being anything more than a npc. She'll show up in a few cutscenes and that'll probably be the end of it. It looks like they copy and pasted MK9 Sindel into the game and cleaned her up a bit. I still can't wait to see what they do with her character in terms of story, though.
Rain... Rain... Seeing him in the trailer was probably the most shocking MKX reveal yet. I'm not saying he's going to be playable. Cause he's more than likely a basic npc lackey to Mileena. He'll maybe have two or three lines of dialogue and then die in some disappointing way with very little focus on him at all. That being said... I'm still appreciative of him being included within the story in some fashion. And even making it into the debut trailer for the game's narrative side!? Fantastic.
Mileena : Always an issue for me. One moment I love her, the next I hate her and every single person responsible for her in MK9. I am glad to say that in MKX.... It's a win. She looks incredible. THAT is how she should look. In fact, the women all look appropriate for the game. They look like strong, hardened warriors. It feels so right. I'm glad Boon and NRS as a whole listened to the fans who KNOW something like this matters. I can now hopefully play as Mileena and not feel disgusted while doing it.
Other random thoughts:
Erron Black looks amazing.
Takeda will most likely be my go-to-character at release. Gonna need some more gameplay, though.
Hanzo is looking pretty epic.
Game is a little too "stylized" and cartoony... But a huge step up from MK9.

That's just an opinion, though. I never cared for over-the-top designs, for example, and always thought Liu was fine as he was. I truly believe MK9 did no favors to him - he was OK in the old games, then they decided he should be annoying. Same for Kung Lao. If I think of it, MK9 actually destroyed some perfectly fine characters from the past, IMO.

Liu Kang wasn't a character in the old games. He was an animated sprite, a backstory, and a moveset. Anything else you got out of him was your own imagination filling in the blanks. If you liked Liu Kang, it's not because NRS made an interesting character, it's because you did in your own head.
In MK9, they made Liu Kang into a character. He used to be a perfect model of a human being, so to make him human they had to give him flaws. That's a different character from the one you'd created years ago, and you prefer yours. That's completely understandable.
Lots of people are bored with Liu Kang for the same reason that lots of people are bored with Superman, it's not easy to make a character who just wins at everything interesting, or relateable.
MK9 Kung Lao is based on Shaolin Monks Kung Lao, who did have a jealous streak in him. This isn't new territory for the character.
Who else would you say was "destroyed" by MK9?

That said, yes, Liu Kang was a sprite but there was nothing to make one believe that he was as annoying as his character in MK9 is (also, MK4 had cutscenes that sort of developed the characters - once again, no hint of MK9 Liu Kang). I don't agree that one must become annoying to be "more human" - especially Liu Kang, who is supposed to be a spiritual guy as far as I know. Same goes for Kung Lao (yes, I do remember Shaolin Monks - nice game, terrible view of MK's story, so I don't take it into consideration). Instead of being good people who were willing to do what's best they just became cry babies. Also, MK9 clearly ended with Liu Kang being screwed up, not a winner. MKDA killed him, MKD and MKA made him a zombie. It's been a long time since he was MK champion (more than 10 friggin' years) and people still cheer for Johnny Cage in spite of him being the humorous kind of guy that can't even see a woman, which I frankly see as boring as many of you see Liu Kang. His MK9 character did nothing to me besides wanting to skip to the next part.
As for who I personally think was destroyed by the last game... off the top of my head I remember feeling disappointed by Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Reptile, Baraka and Mileena. There may be more. At least it seems that Kung Lao and Mileena are better characters in MKX (can't say much for Reptile at this point).
