MKX retells MK4 pretty much the same way MK9 retold the life story of Motaro: with brutal efficiency.
On a serious note, they've put way too much effort into Shinnok for him to be a nobody. He looks more impressive in that one shot with Johnny Cage and Sonya than Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi did over the whole of MK9, combined. He might very well not be the big bad, but he'll have strings to pull before the game is done, that's for sure. I wouldn't worry.

Too bad Shinnok (one of the MK4 characters that I see least mentioned together with Jarek and Kai) ends up getting all the fame and glory, and Reiko, Fujin and Tanya probably ends up dying in comics, being totally forgotten or having small, mini cameo's in the storyline. Or in a even bad scenario they are put in DLC and don't talk in their intro's.

^Kind of expected that Tanya would be snubbed yet again though. Only about 1 more roster spot left up for grabs and it would be a needle in a haystack if it actually was her.
Shinnok still hasn't been revealed to be playable, but I really hope he is. I'm the only person who probably enjoys him hundreds more than Quan Chi.

It's kind of annoying how NRS is going the same route as most media and not aging their females. Johnny definitely looks older. but Sonya actually looks younger than MK9. wtf?

Based on what I've seen from the Mortal Kombat x comic and everything I've seen/heard thus far and what I personally wish to always be true for mortal kombat games, I believe that reiko will be the final boss. Because it certainly sounds like shinnok will be playable. And playable final bosses has never been something Mortal kombat was good at. Reiko may still have high chances to be in the game.
You know, I don't think netherrealm would be that lazy with their DLC. If they get put in as DLC then they'll have full voicework done for sure.

You know, I thought the same, but if you look very closely, you will notice she is a little bit older.
She has some marks around the eyes, but they are very delicate.
And on Netherrealm War times, she looks very young.

Whats the point of giving variations a name if that character isnt playable? They revealed one of the variations they saw as copycat. Im 95% sure shinnok is playable the last 2 spots belongs to liu kang and erron black

And? Apart from being black and being bald (qualities Jax also shares), those two characters have nothing in common.
This pic fits the leaked Revenant Jax pic we got a week ago, and it has the same evil vibe as Revenant Sindel/Kitana. It's definitely Jax.

Human arms with armor and the gauntlets are worn on his forearms. His arms arent metal. Only jaxes arms are metal. Also darrius really doesnt have a reason to look like that[/IMG]
