MKX Cage Family Trailer

Two things:

1. Ed Boon cannot count, but looking at who's playable I guess he meant 5 people who were not shown in combat during the story trailer are confirmed.

2. I can't wait for the Story Mode. I hope it's much longer than MK9 and Injustice. They should have Johnny Cage for Chapter 1 and Sonya for Chapter 2 as a throwback to MK9.

Also, was that Torr's alternate or a new character?
 
I'll swallow my pride and admit it; I'm glad Johnny's in. His intros are hilarious.

But I'm mostly excited for Kenshi and Shinnok.

It's about time we got gameplay footage of these two. I do think that we might Shinnok early one since we saw Sonya and Johnny Cage fighting Shinnok in the trailer.

Just adding for nobody thinks he is a Shang Tsung copycat. Anyway, a good inspiration, since Tsung was sick on MK9.

And, the link Sermac posted mentions a possible copycat move.

Seems like Shinnok is going to have awesome and powerful unique moves, and maybe that mimic the opponent too.

He is looking VERY badass :laugh:

I'm krazy here too :laugh: I can't believe this time Shinnok will be as badass as he should always have been!
 
I've been thinking about it and Shinnok getting beat in chapter 1 is way lame. He deserves better than that. I think NRS is leaving out Reiko, Tanya and Noob so they can breeze through the mk4 portion of the story. I'm sorry but hell on earth deserves more attention than one chapter.

I thought it was very short too.

I don't think the event will be short, but the approach they will do may be.

Anyway, I doubt that will be Shinnok's only appearance in the game. Everybody will be running to avoid him coming back, and he will probably be freed again, so we can kick his ass (or he kicks ours...).

Like... potentially the entire ending of the game?

We have no idea who the big bad is, it could still turn out to be Shinnok.

They spend the entire story trailer focusing on how worried the good guys are that Shinnok escapes from the amulet (it's the only reason they bother going after Mileena) so it's safe to say he's relevant for much longer than the first chapter.
 
Shinnok in the amulet is not quite the same as Shinnok. Point still stands that the mk4 portion is breezed through unjustly.
 
Well that was a fun trailer...I must say i wasn't looking forward to Sonya actually being playable but she look good. I love the bickering between Johnny and her.

-Love the MK Statues...nice nod to the Original

-Johnny and Sonya have obviously aged, but they look great! Even though they didn't work out, they seem to make a good team

-Im hoping the guy we see fighting JC is Tremor. His skin seems be rough like rocks. But upon closer observation, it might be Jax. but im still hoping it is Tremor

-It seem like the refugee camp is housing citizens from Outworld. Funny cause in the comics Sonya seems to be very adamant about keeping Outworld issue in Outworld. You also see ninjas training in their.

-Kenshi is looking rocking a beard as well. Is adding a beard a way of making characters old? Cause it seems that way! Not saying its horrible...just an observation

-Nice to see Mileena in action, even though she was the opponent

-Shinnok looking like the Badass he is

-Im sorry but I Died at the "here's Johnny" part!!!

Awesome trailer, fun, funny and informative!!!!

It isnt. For the 100th time, it is Jax. It has confirmed to be Jax.

THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED:
IMO Shinnok is going to replace Shang Tsung. In MK9 Shang Tsung was the first boss(sub-boss really) that u had to face. Until now, everything is pointing towards Shinnok getting his place. I've been saying that since the beginning. I might be wrong, but the fact that they re both sorcerer's(cause Shinnok is no longer an Elder God), that they share some of their moves (according to today's info), that they're the first "boss" you face, and that Shinnok has variations and was in the 99% "correct" roster leak (Most likely playable) make me believe that.

I think Shinnok and Liu Kang are going to be revealed together in 2-3 weeks time.

I also believe this game will have playable bosses.
 
Yes, that character people are still confused over is Jax. Can Chi just played dress up with him, that's all.

But it is retelling mk4... it's going further than that if Onaga is the final boss. They aren't just scrapping everything. Seido and Chaosrealm have been mentioned too. You can't escape the 3D games entirely.
