Fair enough, although I don't think it has to be an either/or situation. I played very little of MK vs. DC, but I think I remember a combo system that included some very hard to pull off timing based combos.

Liu Kang could be resurrected by quan chi, the same way he resurrected scorpion, as another spectre. Quan chi promises him a chance to get back at Raiden for killing him provided he works for him and helps Shinnok. Thus in this way he doesnt come back as a zombie and is not neccesary evil as he does all the bad deeds only for the chance to
Kill raiden and he isnt bothered much about the conquering of realms by shinnok and is a neutral character. Sounds good u think??
 
It's probably already been said a million times so one more couldn't hurt. For MK '10 I want:

1. Motaro
2. Sub Zero unmasked/ Cyber Sub Zero development
3. combo challenges(just for fun)

There's probably more but it's late and I'm tired.

So, anything is possible, I think if anything, they should keep it a mystery as to how, what, or who resurrected Liu. If they bring him back as a spirit, it would be cool or him possessing another person. That's more along the extreme line, but don't worry about it being impossible for Liu to come back as human. They do it to almost all the chars, remember Sindel's reincarnation in the mk9 storyline? :)

I just hope they make it so he returns, but not as a zombie, just as a hermit, ya know? He's lost all his trust, he's cynical, just a different Liu, but not exactly evil. I don't want him siding with Kahn or like one of the sorcerers, it just is too extreme for him. His ending in MK9 is way too much for him, that's why I'm hoping it's not cannon. If it is, it won't ruin the game, but they should really just bring him back as a neutral hermit with no trust, I'm telling you.

I remeber that interview:D. I hope Liu Kang is one of the characters he was referring to. Hopefully, it's the Shaolin who bring him back to life and walks away from them because of Raiden. That would be an okay story.

That's what I want for Liu Kang if he isn't a champion.
And yah, Liu Kang being a God isn't right. Espically if Shang Tsung comes and takes his place. Wouldn't make any sense either. Liu Kang kicked his ass when he was human, what makes you think Shang Tsung kan do it as a god?

Errrr not........really. Either way it sounds like Liu Kang becomes an evil character. 75% chance he'll end up trying to save Earthrealm by himself.
 
What about an option to fight in 2d or like MK:SM throught storymode. It would give you a different aspect playing it either way.

Would a 'choose your own adventure' style storymode be any good? Throughout the game it gives you options to kill someone or not, to go here and do this or over there and do that. Probably make the game way too involved though.

Id like the idea of a storymode like MK:D but where you have to use certain characters abilities to get you somewhere, e.g SZ to freeze water to walk over, or raiden to give power to something via electricity, or kung lao to teleport somewhere, or baraka to cut through something. Id like it just so you have to utilise lots of different character throughout your quest

What I was thinking is that Quan Chi could ressurect Liu Kang but instead of him trying to get revenge on Raiden, Quan Chi says that if Liu Kang kills Raiden, he or Shinnok will undue all the devistation caused by Shao Kahn's invasion. That way while Liu Kang's actions arnt pure, his motives are. Later on he'll eventually realize nether Quan or Shinnok have any intentions of restoring Earthrealm and fights against them.

Ninja + Earth = Awesome

You dig the story and the bios too much, I like teh chars gameplay wise, then I dig the story and bio about them, and teh better about tremor is that like you said he didnt contribute anything to the universe, so they can give him the story they want.

Now Rain is announced, Tremor FTW! hehe

That wouldn't make any sense because Quan Chi might know how Liu Kang is and he'll put a powerful ass spell on him turn him into his zombie.
 
My ideas
-All dead kharacters stay dead or are resurrected some way(some of them)
-More stage Fatalities
-Maybe 2 X-Rays
-Some longer dial-a-kombos like in MK:DA or a bit shorter than those kombos
-Appropriate female attires(fits their story = princess,blood entity,half human-half tarkatan,etc)
-More day/night maps(Night Kahn's Koliseum FTW)
-More post UMK3 kharacters(not the ones who suck, kobra, hsu hao)
-Use the same kharaters from the 3-D games but revamp them. I have seen many Rebuilding(Insert Kharacter Here) threads that kould be really awesome in an MK game.
-Greater music(Some levels were alright in terms of music)
-Motaro koming back
-Moloch as maybe a servant of Shinnok
-Fujin having some really cool moves
-Emphasized Sub-Scorpion-Noob story
-Aging and training Shujinko
-Bo Rai' Cho becoming a man of wisdom
-Raiden becoming less konfident with his actions
-Liu Kang turning on the side of good because of Raiden killing him
-Shang Tsung maybe turning good out of desperation

This seems like a perfect MK10 for me.

I'm sure Liu by that time would be pretty messed up in the head because of all the deaths, probably feeling betrayed by Raiden and besides who's to say Quan doesn't put some spell on him? I know not a perfect story but it's MK, nothing is perfect lol.
 
- NO SHAO KAHN!!
- more stage fatalities
- all new stages. no old mk stages. no dead pool. no goro's lair, no living forest. yes their great, but they need to leave them out for a game or 2.
- less cutting fatalities
- motaro (and not get killed off)
- shang tsung morphing

thats all i can think of for now.

Any characters that die in other games should cone back in other games. Like they never died.
