I think most of us are on board that it is coming out this year. I think we all feel that NRS/WB is playing too much and for too long a period of time. Like a child who waits for his ice cream cone to be handed to him, and at the very moment you reach for it, its gets pulled back, time and time again. You cry, get angry and then eventually you dont want it anymore. The only difference is we do still want it, and theres unofficial proof of its existence. Don't worry, I do believe you and I appreciate you informing us and trying to fill us in, but I do still take everything with a grain of salt. I won't be the one to steamroll you Ronster, but I can't say the same thing for others on this board.

Uh... what other games were you wanting, exactly? For diehard MK fans, the original trilogy remains the best the series has to offer (until, perhaps, MK9 is released next week). Also, those 3 (and MK4) are the only MK games to appear in arcades, thus any other iteration would not make sense in the "Arcade Kollection"

i just like the 3D games better, MK2 was my favourite 2D fighter, but i already have it since i bought it off PSN. i was hoping theyd re-release DA in HD but oh well

Totally agree ! Unless i see a least ONE picture of this "Kollection", i conisder that the game does NOT exist !
In a recent interview, Ed Boon said that november 2011 will be the 20th anniversary of Mortal Kombat... May be we can expect some big surprises, like this "Arcade Kollection" ? (or may be not, just an expensive DLC with playable Goro and Tanya top-less

It has to be around that time then, I mean 20th Anniversary in November... Just makes complete and utter sense.
That also gives them enough time to release lots of DLC for MK9 6-7months and complete whats left of the trilogy in MK9 Format thats missing and then bam! hit you with the Arcade classic content that contains all the Same content retro arcade style Including all the DLC from MK9
who knows it may end up being a bit more like anthology than a straight port to HD obviously needing a reaon to own it other than just in HD although not such a massive roster of course
Presuming it's going to be made on the unreal engine whats to say HD Kollection won't just be DLC and another mode in MK9 rather than a boxed game in shops so in order to have HD Kollection you would have to own MK9 also that way they get more $$$..... I am starting to see where it's going and If I just figured it then I pat myself on the back... this is all speculative of course but makes alot of sense to me.... I think, because you would also share the same features of Online mode etc just a different mode in game very clever if they do it this way and cut down on the production costs massively and you get it cheaper sort of so win win all round

I hate when people claim to know sources, yet post only 2 posts and then leave. It doesn't make me believe such hog-wash. Before someone jumps me saying "Why would anyone lie like that, why don't you believe said person"
I actually have had the privelige of knowing two full-scale leakers. I've also been on enough boards and have argued with leak sources. Most of the time they become primarily active with whatever board they reveal information until the information is proven. This prevents people from doubting them in the future and prevents the people claiming information from looking like trolls or fakers, and the people believing them from looking less naive.
Now this is not always true but I hate when people say "Why would they take their time to do that." You want the truth? People lie and draw attention to themselves all the time online. It's human nature. I don't recall how many people were saying on other forums their "friend" had the full game and that Smoke used an Axe, they even made over 1000 post topics. Does that mean that they were telling the truth? No.
Now that doesn't mean TC or the other "source" caller is a fake, but I have very little faith in such a thing. If it were Serebii, or one of the other famous leakers, (PoR) I might believe it, this? No.
The reason I don't is the half-baked "Well if it doesn't then it just changed."
99% of the time if a source gives information its on absolute basis on a game coming out or being suspended forever. Their is no "half-baked defense" Although leakers do acknowledge that changes happen at times: [First SSBB leak had one information point wrong, but his vast information was right on the mark for the most part.] However, when he was first thought to be false he admitted that maybe he had a false source. These people seem way to sure.
Anyway, that's my 2C.
Hope the game comes out, hopefully this year, I would certainly buy it. No problem.

The first MK was released in October of 92, not 91. That would make it the 19th anniversary.

If you are referencing me then you are entitled to your opinion mate but I don't want people asking me for loads of info I don't have either. my last post prior to this one is all speculation... The first Post from what I heard was true and it is not a person leaking infomation or mates of mates or any stuff like that.... it's more about another company trying to make money when the said release comes out later this year. Thats all I will say about it believe me or not it's up to you work it out for yourself.
