Didn't stop most of us AUS MK fans from getting the game into aus :P. But this will definitely boost a lot of MK attention in Australia for the casual gamer. From watching all of the great tourney action in the US, I hope aus develops something like that :P it would be awesome.

I didn't think about that! The tourneys lol. Im guessing the online will be better too. We all have a headstart over everyone else as well :p
 
something is wrong with the HK version. I hour the Freddy dlc just as I got all the rest. But this time freddy only shows up if I log into my HK psn account.

Anyone have this problem.

And call me crazy but I though when I logged into my australian account it updated to 1.07 but hk only updates to 1.04.

I have gone into my games data and deleated everything, then repatched and downloaded from HK, but still only to, 1.04 when logging into both accounts. Next I guess I can try deleting all my save games but I main cyber-sub and not really keen on grinding tower and story mode again.

Anyone in aussie land have problems getting the fredy dlc working on the HK version of the game.

Also can I play aussies online fine on the hk psn

Ok, I got him working on my Au psn account.

I ended up deleting all my mk9 data from the ps3 then downloading all the dlc from HK then patching from HK.

Now it is working. I think it had something to do with the compatibility pack bring included in the flab dlc.

I chose to del all my data as I saw that even if I wanted to play on HK and have a empty friend list I would need to replay story mode to unlock cyber-sub.

Anyway this worked if others are having this problem.

BUT

You may only need to del the mk file in the game data folder, then log onto your overseas psn, install all the dlc first, then patch it from the overseas account after.

This may work so try that first.

freddy works fine on my mates HK copy, and on mine to i'd presume, but i dont want freddy..

whats your PSN?
 
They will have to re-submit it, but that's just going to waste money. They will probably just wait until they release UMK9 or something as soon as we get the R18+ rating.
 
hey guys im new here, im not sure if this has been addressed. but i have a problem getting the dlc, my copy of the game is u.s version so i created a fake us account everything went smooth but when i try and add my mastercard details it ask "add address details that match the cards" which ive tried but seeing the false account address is in the u.s it already has those details saved and it wont let me change it to aus. im sure others have had this problem. i know that people have used there credit cards and im sure they dont have credit cards with u.s adresses. any ideas?

How to Get MK9 on a Australian PS3 and have working DLC and Multiplayer

  1. Buy a import version of the Game. I got a game from a Hong Kong ebay store that I trust. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE REGION OF THE GAME VERSION YOU BUY

  2. On your Ps3, start a new user, and then sign up to the PlayStation Network. If you need a email, remember gmail or hotmail or the other billion free email services.

  3. When selecting your Region in the PlayStation Sign up, use the SAME region as the game you purchased. In my case Hong Kong. (PS - Hong Kong still defaults to English Language)

  4. When asked for a street address, the best way to do this is to look up a hotel and find its public snail mail address. This is what I did and will give you valid post codes, cities and provences.

  5. Ok you done.... Now you can access the Store. 1st thing 1st... Download the 2 free compatibility mods... now you can play.

  6. In the PlayStation3 interface, go to "Accounts Management" and Select "Redeem Codes" Enter your code and now online should be activated. This code will not activate unless you are signed into the correct region.

  7. This is Optional but I think it is a good idea.... Go to the store and select all the Paid DLC and purchase it. If you have set up the account to the wrong region for your game you will not be able to complete the transaction. AU PSN cards will not work on the Hong Kong store, I used my internet credit card for this as I couldn't find anyway to buy a Hong Kong psn code.
    • You can buy UK, and US and Jap psn cards from PCGamesSupply.com If you have a game from that same region... remember DLC is region locked, so you can NOT buy US DLC on a UK psn account....

    Anyway Credit card worked fine for me.

  8. Sign out and sign in on your normal account....

  9. Play the game, have access to DLC, and Online Multiplayer.

This is what I did and it worked fine... I played a few test online matches and was pleasantly surprised that there was hardly any lag at all, and pages for green "good" ping players to choose from.

What I Would do Differently if I know what I know now.

Multiplayer seamed perfectly fine. I had pages of full green players to pick form and did 3 test games. The game seamed responsive and I went into high level room, not the beginning area and saw my opponent do complex string combos. I got crushed but it showed me that the game multiplayer was fine.

I am not sure if this is because Hong Kong is so close to Australia... but maybe that makes a difference I ma not sure.. if it dose.. I would recommend using a New Zealand copy of the game, as it is so close to Au. A good online NZ game store I have used b4 is http://www.mightyape.co.nz/

All the other steps should be the same.

how did you use a credit card when it doesnt correspond with the fake u.s or uk address u added to your bogues psn account?
 
Don't buy the codes on eBay. They charge you extra. Make an account at Amazon using US details (use the fake US address generator) and buy the code there. They don't charge extra and the code is instant.
 
i just bought a us psn card off microsoftpoints.us and they gave me the code within two hours and everything works fine. thanks guys. couldnt help but notice u cant view the new dlc characters endings or bios. oh well
 
Any word on a release date yet?

I was reading on imdb that Australia will allow the showing of the new human centerpede movie.
If anyone has seen or read what this second movie is about (it makes saw look like sunday school) can anyone understand what on earth they were thinking when they banned MK9?!

Obviously the adult rating was different from movies to games (not now though thankfully!) but cartoon violence doesnt compare to the gore and repulsiveness of this movie.

Did they just hate that 'we' as gamers were in control of the level of gore on MK?

BRING ON THE R18+ RATING!!!!
(Im sorry for you younger gamers though)
