Dude, I went to school at Iowa State and we used to have these people show up on campus all the time. They would stake out of a spot in front of the library with huge signs that detailed how sinful all of us were (especially the gays, blacks, hispanics, Muslims, Jews, etc.) and how we were going to burn in hell for eternity. Usually an angry student or 20 would gather near them and argue with them all day.

We also had the WBC show up and distribute pamphlets showing pictures of dead fetuses. One of them had his 10-year old daughter along (on a weekday, no less) helping to pass these materials, clearly being indoctrinated. It was really disturbing.

I saw a documentary saying that the Mayan calendar was off by a couple hundred years or so, anyways. LOL ;-)
 
Ok. I've seen this all over the city of Oakland, California everytime I drive there. Usually by some churches. That Saturday morning, I have class and I will be prepared for whatever happens. If it doesn't happen, I'll just laugh it off and go on doing my things.
 
My thought is that it's not going to happen, over the last 10 years the Doomsday was supposed to come on countless occasions.
 
Usually these advertisements are all over poor sections like the inner-city or rural areas because poverty & lack of means leads to less enjoyment of life and more yearning for a better afterlife. Poverty is also connected with less education and thus more gullibility. Its sick but many of these religious groups specifically use poor people as means to their end because poor people are more likely to believe them and have a lot less to lose.
 
FICTION! I stopped worrying about these things after nothing happened on Y2K and 666. Its NOT going to happen and neither will 12/21/12! The only way I see the world ending is something out of Terminator storyline like computers taking over the world and or a nuclear war.
 
Its not gonna happen. Jesus never gave us a date. The bible says that no man will no when our lord komes back. This guy was wrong before in 1994. His excuse was his math was wrong. Watch him say the same. I don't understand why people would trust him if he was wrong before.

But if people start floating to the sky while winged monstrosities fly from cracks in the ground.

You can bet I'm dropping to my godam knees right there and start praying my ass off lol.

the stuff in the bible is so vague that it could pertain to any point in time and i'm sorry the world isn't gonna end any time soon not now, 21,or 2012.

war is a constant not any thing new and this isn't a michael j fox movie.

i mean the visual of hell that we have is from a guys dream,
the inferno by dante aligeiry. it's myth nothing more. just like nostradamus or the maya or any other culture it's just a history repeat time and time again. if any thing it means some thing will change good or bad who knows. for one it's a welcome change the way stuff is now is no picnic.

if any thing the world will end when the sun blows in 6 billion years the earth is 4 billion years old and suns last 10 billion years so see no time soon and for the stuff happening now it happens cuse the earths axis are moving not god.

and for the people that say well this or that was fore told from the bible why is that its always after the fact that it was fore told and not before. the tragedy happened. think about that
