Let's not pretend they're doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. These streams are an advertisement tool. Not saying it's a bad thing but all the "you should be grateful" talk is annoying and pathetic. Some of you guys need to learn the basics of consumerism.

Thank you, Matt. I was thinking the same thing scrolling past these comments.

I want to believe we're all adults past petty gossip about someone's sense of humor or mannerisms. Guess not.

I wouldn't get too upset over it. There's a huge group of posters on here who are simply put, man-children. There was a time when this forum was bursting with mature and sometimes intelligent conversations. It has since then turned into "If I don't get my way, I will smear sh** on everyone and everything."

Not a day goes by where I don't miss the MK9 lead up every time I log into this site.

The entitlement is real...

I'm not upset at all, this is just what happens when a new game is on the way. The flood of new blood comes in only caring about their demands. I was here (never banned, just lost login and nobody ever responded) when MK9 was announced/coming out and it was the same way then with the whole retailer exclusive preorder bonuses. That'll pass in June when all of the same folks pretending their world is ruined without [insert insanely small feature here] have already moved on to another title.

This is true. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of this forum will continue playing the game after a year.

I only stopped playing MK9 because a friend borrowed my 360 disk and broke it, and I was too poor to buy a new one at the time :(

Since you brought this up (that sucks btw, if I were you, I'd murder your friend), I've been meaning to ask y'all a question.

I don't know about the States, but in Canada, EB Games/Gamestop has this $2.75 guarantee for your game that if it is too damaged to use, you could get a new copy free of charge.

Now, since Next Gen games require a mandatory install, is there really a point of getting that, considering all the system has to do is recognize the disc? Or does the system still read data off it, even after install?
 
I was always under the assumption that the disc still needed to be read, and the mandatory install was to help the game run smoother. I may be way off and not know anything about this topic ...
