Liu Kang tweets

My exact thoughts. Liu Kang being a god is too big for the comics as well.
In mk becoming a god isnt that big of a deal to me. Its not like he wouldnt be able to fight anymore. Its a logical progression because liu has always been good, he has been a champion, hes been a hero. For the god direction though i hope they make him. Like someone who doesnt pick random battles to partake in. Rather his involment means shit has gotten real. kind like levi from attack on titan. Like an elite, badass mfer

That would be nice. Like some sort of "I'm here to put an end to this mess and bring order again". The problem with this is: it sounds like the ultimate good guy nevertheless, not a villain. If things got so bad to the point of him returning like some fire badass entity, surely the heroes would side with him? Unless you play as him when that happens and that's how you unlock him. Maybe we got it all wrong and he's not a villain, he's the ultimate hero, the final playable character from story mode. Fits the character. Or maybe he'll be so pissed off that he'll just kick the heroes' asses too.

Him becoming a god doesn't necessarily mean that he's bad

Yup, that was exactly what I tried to say. lol I think I misunderstood your post...? Sorry if that's the case. What I meant, anyway, is that surely he would either be a villain (if we're playing against him) or maybe some of us got it wrong and he's the last playable character (if he comes back as some sort of divine fire god - after all it wouldn't make sense for the heroes to be against the god, I think).

Did i miss something? The best hint at Liu thus far was that
head band statue in the ladder, right?

I can see Liu being a secret Kharacter, getting unlocked
near the end of story mode... Something like what
BAdass Liu Kang mentioned, he appears when
shit gets real. I wouldn't mind him to be the big bad either,
if done properly.

i dont think this game will have secret fifgters sinice they dont want it to be a hassle with tourments however i could be wrong

It's so odd seeing people rip on Liu Kang for so many years. Now everyone wants him in the game coz gd frm ru kgn iz bd azz.

I think it's because he's the only OG not "in the game yet". Kang has never been my style, though as said earlier someone's gotta be the goodie twoshoes.

Maybe he needs to be cloned so this can happen:
