I hope that Liu Kang's only role is that of a burned corpse in the intro movie, were we left off in MK9.

That would be perfect, we have more than enough Asian male characters in the game, no need for Liu Boring in this game, we have Kung Jin for that now, which is actually interesting and more appealing than Liu Kang can ever be.

sorry liu kang going to be in the game he may be not the boss either but i have a feeling he going to be playable

my guess is Liu will have been healed by Raiden just how Raiden healed Jax, and Liu will try to go to the NR to save the warriors by himself. maybe he will have to trade his soul for the other earthrealm warriors souls, he may enhance his power with a Kamidogu or just become possessed.

Liu Kang will be in this game, aint a doubt in my mind about it. they wont just kill him off in mk9 then just say "oh yeah, lets just leave him dead while we bring literally EVERY one else back" that sounds stupid as hell. also the fact we have been getting every body except Liu is a sign. a "returning, unsuspected boss"??

I think Liu Kang will be in this game, but I think most changes could happen because he was out.

I like him a lot, and though I don't think he will be the big bad, his role may be something important and not very noticeable.

Here's your evidence. I don't like Liu Kang either but there's no point on being in denial.

Scorpion has a fireball so everything good about Liu Kang has been salvaged but he's still in the game, wether we like it ot not.

I don't see anything resembling Liu Kang as that statue. I see that as Takashi. Makes sense since he clearly HAS a headband.

To be honest, I don't see Liu having a part in this series anymore, especially since it's been stated that Johnny is Raiden's champion. Sure, Liu could get resurrected and go rogue, but I honestly don't see that happening with his character. I think he's done... And until evidence supports it, I don't see him turning into a god like his arcade ending suggested.

Yeah, that's clearly a red headband and not a yellow one. It'd look less red and more brownish if it was yellow.

I get that you're a huge fan of his, but no matter how much you like this character, it's not going to make me turn the other way and say, "yeah, it's possible that this is Liu Kang."

Kung Jin and Takashi are the only two characters so far to wear headbands, and since we clearly saw Kung Jin holding his bow, I'm going to stick with my opinion and say that's Takashi.

Takeda is also obviously using one of Liu Kang's classic poses. A ninja... doing a White Lotus Shaolin winning pose. Yeah... not Liu Kang. Just a member of Scorpion's clan with an identity crisis.

It's not Takeda. His alternate with Scorpion fighting him does not include a head band and his headband version does not include a V shape on his chest. That's Fire God Liu Kang. For real. If not, that's a character we just plain old haven't seen yet. But.

3. V shaped tunic that closely matches his Fire God look at the end of the MK9 arcade.

Everyone... it's okay to draw this conclusion. The evidence is compelling enough.

I'm saying is that I'll believe it's Liu Kang when I see actual proof that he is in the game. Otherwise, I am sticking with Takashi because he is the only other character that we have seen wearing a headband.

Not to mention, this headband doesn't look THAT yellow to me. It looks more like a tan colored band:

The color of that doesn't prove anything because that picture of the statue is in a far distance. Some characters have a brownish-red tint as shown in here:

Sorry, I don't see this as Liu, no matter how hard you're trying to get me to see that it is.
