Kitana Revealed!

...and in the breakdown she's shown fighting Cassie and Kung Jin in the Shaolin Temple after the blood cloud, which I'm going to assume is towards the end of story mode. Either she gets revived towards the end thanks to Cassie & friends or she gets re-killed and turned back into a zombie. Her dialogue with Reptile is pointing to her being somewhat active in the story with Kotal Kahn having her stand trial (Return to court! The Kahn demands it!).

So yeah, things aren't looking too cheery for the princess right now.
 
I really like her "evil" alt outfit, but I hope she won't have those yellow glowing eyes and those glowing cracks in her skin when picking it. Hopefully that's just an extra added effect that can be put on, kinda like the whole Zombie mode in MK9.

I now have some hope that she will appear with at least one of those two other outfits from her designs (black - mournful and white). They're too gorgeous to not be used!

And now i'm getting a hunch that maybe she DOESN'T get revived in MKX and her new outfits showing her fully restored, normal etc. are just there for fan service. If that's true, then A LOT of people are not going to be happy, myself included. Why would NRS hype the hell out of her like they have been or even put her in the game and playable if that's the case?

Because if they put Kitana into the game as just a non-playable enemy fight that isn't even a boss, then A LOT MORE people would not have been happy?
 
I feel like Kitana will be revived during story mode. We only saw a certain part from the trailer. A lot can happen in 25 years.

That what I initially thought but the more I watch the trailer, the more I disagree with this sentiment.

The scene where Kung Jin fights Kitana at the Shaolin Temple and the blood mist explosion seems to me like a middle of the road/shit hits the fan moment in story mode, like the Arena drama scenes in MK9 and the raid on Stryker's Island in Injustice. NRS obviously puts stuff like this in the middle or at the end of act 2.

This is the scene where Kotal Kahn obviously throws his gloves into the ring and challenges the heroes (and from the look of things, takes them prisoner as well.) by destroying the shaolin temple.

I think Kitana is defeated, captured, and revived after this scene, hopefully she'll join the fight towards the end of story mode.

Well, I told the story to my sister and she gave me a different perspective...Jax could have his wife (lover, etc...) pregnant before dying, so his resurrection is not necessary....
 
Why are you all saying that her appearance as a revenant IS actually at the very end of the story?! I mean, how can you all be so sure of it?

Right, but it doesn't means it's the end of the story. Boon said the story of MKX happens 25 years after the MK9 events. I just don't understand why people are assuming it's the ending of the story mode.

Ahh that was your point? Well you could be right but I don't think all the game would center in the last 5 years, i think it would have some time spans of 5 years so when they reach the 20 years Mark it could be the end, but you're right, it could be centered in that time and be the beginning...
