KANO confirmed by German Gamepro

I did see Outworlders use Earthrealm weapons during Stryker's chapter...I could've sworn I did, anyway...

Fact is, the MK combatants on the main roster are all far above average warriors - the weapons weren't for them; they were for the fodder who were nowhere near as strong as the roster characters.

Kano's arms dealing was not stupid. You just have to look at things from a wider perspective.

This also off topic but I would love to see a plot where Earthrealm tries to take over outworld
 
Earth is very uneven in their governments. Outworld is a centered government, despotic in unity, cruel and heavily armed. Magic is unexpected for most humans, they got no knowledge on how to enter Outworld and fight (I'm not argumenting on exceptions like Special Forces), and even if that happened, I really doubt they would know how to merge the realms. In fact they should win the 10 tournaments, even the existence of the competition most people does not know! Also, we weren't expecting that a Tormentor of the size of a building would invade Earth.

Well, but it would be a damn funny invasion.

Kano's idea wasn't that bad, the weapons could inflict mass destruction on fortress and even people. Well, if anyone could magically survive a RPG explosion, for example, then this person should be honored with a decent kombat!

At least it got leaked before, all the wait and hype caused by the reveals and countdowns always kill me, but now I won´t expect anything. The only good point....

I don't expect Earthrealm to merge just take over, kill most of Shao Khans favorite soldiers, occupy a few villages, and learn how their magic works. Also since the story spans 25 years I would't really be surprised if Earthrealm made some sort of united earth special forces because hey what 1st world country would't want free resources. Also I think we can take a Tormenter with an anti tank rifle

It would be good, Earthrealm seems to be the most unprotected realm. No wonder Raiden went crazy.

Yes, considering that Great Kung Lao was defeated by Shang Tsung 50 years after his victory, and the 10th victory of Goro would be in 500 years, and Shao Kahn has also stated that he would have to wait more 500 years to merge Earthrealm with Outworld (knowing 10 MK Tournaments are needed), everything indicates that 500/10, so, 50 years.
 
Kano.... KANO!!... Damn it. I f***ing hate Kano. Besides the first MK I think he is a boring character and has a dull moveset in my opinion (most likely an unpopular one). I have always felt that they never gave Kano the attention he deserved. He had the potential to be a really cool character, but he was always just a background bad guy overshadowed heavily by the other characters in the game. I wish they had brought him or his story more front and center or at least give him an angle that makes him top tier in the story telling department. Kano was just an obstacle to get past and easily forgotten during the story mode.. even if you were playing as Sonya or Jax who have the biggest connections to him. And when it comes to online or competitive play, you never saw people playing as him unless 1.) They were just messing around or 2.) they had no idea what they were doing.. considering he was never one of the top tier characters to play as competitively.. I hope he's not just in for nostalgia.. I really hope if he is in this that they make him a lot more relevant to this storyline.. I swear to Christ if they just tell his storyline like he's out to get revenge on Sonya or some other lame ass plot I'm gonna be pissed.

With the new variations system, there's a lot of possibilities to make Kano a top tier, or at least, viable character. It's never too late. He's already got a "Wrestling" variation, which is very interesiting to him, since he always had some nice throws but he was never quite a grappler. Jax Briggs and Kano are 2 characters i always felt that could make nice grapplers. However, and seeing how every character looks very unique and fun, i have faith in Netherrealm Studios that at least one of Kano's variations will be strong enough to compete with the rest of the cast. This game will mark the rebirth of Kano, and he'll be in his A game for sure.
 
YES! Please bring KANO back along with the other characters that starts with the letter "K" like KABAL,KAI,KENSHI,KIRA,KITANA,KOBRA & KUNG LAO to Mortal Kombat X.

I think the thing is Liu Kang for example is much too fast to be caught by an RPG or some assault rifle fire. He could move to cover or close the distance quicker than another human could... so yeah, its more for the ones without the natural ability (Tarkatans...)

Nightwolf could reflect the rocket and bullets, so they're useless against him.

The Tormentor himself seems to take rockets like spitballs, so they're useless against him.

It just seems they serve more the guys with little skill, of course Kano doesn't need the weapons. His eye is a weapon, his daggers are weapons...

But I like the merging of magic and technology. It helps out un-isolate Stryker, Sonya, Jax, etc...

But funny you say Earthrealm invading Outworld cause that is sort of what happens in the MK RPG we're working on...

But that's off-topic! xD

I would like to see Earthrealm occupy some cities also. Become more animalistic, violent, and magic-wielders.
 
I'm surprise by some Kano hate. Growing up, fans always like him. If they put in Jarek or Kobra instead, everyone would be ing about it and would be like "I wish they announce Kano instead".
 
I'm glad Kano was confirmed, always a personal favorite of mine. I hope one of his variations focuses heavily on knives and really violent stabbing, but that's kind of a given
 
I never liked Kano at all, but I never hated (except for gameplay reasons, but that's normal, you come to hate for that moment even your favorite character). But he is an important and classic character, if he is confirmed I won't be displeased. I just hope he got something important to do, he's a brutal villain, he's kinda what Earthrealm has to offer as a traitor.
 
As many others have already said, the best route for Kano in MKX is to kill one of Cassie's parents.
Not immediately, but maybe at the half way mark or towards the end. It's the only way he can make an impact imo.
 
IMO I think Kano and Sonya should both die fighting each other.

Like Kano's about to rip her heart out and she just puts a ring blast under his chin to blow his head over. Then she could die either in Johnny or Cassie's arms or be dead before the two arrive.
