Jason

Hi all. Been lurking here forever so I thought it's time I said something. Have been a Mortal Kombat fan since the very beginning and I am absolutely stoked and so ready for MKX. I have a problem with these guests characters though. Kratos I get, an absolute legend. I mean any gamer worth their salt knows who Kratos is but Freddy? And now Jason? I get that they are 2 of the most well known and probably most loved (or feared) villains in horror cinema but they are old news and I totally saw Jason coming long before todays reveal. If you wanna keep the horror theme going why not try and get the rights to characters totally unexpected like perhaps Pennywise the Clown form Stephen King's IT or even the ugly Scarecrow thing form Jeepers Creepers? Hell I don't know. Anyways, this game is looking stellar and I can't wait to use Jason as my fatality dummy like I used Freddy in MK9. He could however turn out to be a complete badass but time will tell.

Please! His whole reputation was made on killing helpless people during their horniest moments. Dude is the biggest #%@+ blocker in the history of cinema. Yup, he's perfect for MK :roll:
 
I was expecting alot more hate than this. I was expecting mass suicide pacts, the lot. I'm please yet somewhat disappointing in the lack of whining and don't buy it if you don't like it posts.
 
All I can say is wow. Can't believe they out Jason in the game. I'm unsure how I feel about this, but I bet his fatality is legit
 
I kinda thought this might happen, so I'm ok with it. Not like I'll play as him or anything tho. Not to sure if I'll be getting kombat pack, saving grace would be spawn :$ or Reiko/fujin/Baraka
 
Ultra pathetic.............. boon ruining to mk, specially when is needed certain character from previous mk titles or non used chars that need a more deep improvements and exploitation.

Who need sonya? or better for what they have added their stupid daughter? it´s beyond if certain thing can destroy or not to you...
really is needed bring this stupid jason? if not, makes more sense if you play terrordrome game....... with jason vorghess and freedy, is really useless.
 
Fantastic, another distasteful gimmick character who doesn't fit the franchise to increase profitability.

Oh well... not too surprising though. It is what it is.
 
i swear, if his story has anything to do with any F13th plot points after Part 4, i'm going to murder someone, everything else sucked and shouldn't exist, i'd love for him to have a move that includes his Mother, MRS.Voorhees is a legend ,

anyway, i'd have preferred if NRS had used the Cenobites from Hellraiser,
 
Next game DLC will be another predictable Horror movie character, who absolutely doesn't fit any piece of the MK franchise, so NRS can gain even more profit from people outside the stanbase.
I'm sure we'd all appreciate if we just kept it at all more wanted characters..from OUR franchise.
Though we will keep getting horror movie knockoffs, and then they tamper with the horror movie characters to make them worse. Will they pull a freddy with Jason and give him 2 handheld machetes or something of that nerve racking nature?
Oh well. I'm done complaining.
Let's just hope the next guest character isn't another movie knockoff, and maybe someone well known from an actual video game.

For example,
I was happy with Kratos. Kratos actually fit in the game as a fighting type character because his franchise is known for mutilation and ripping heads off and things of that nature.
I'm not exactly happy with Jason, because he .. has literally no taste. He's just another stale murderer who can't really die, and just stabs a bunch of people and then his movie ends. Literally every movie just the same. What can he do that's worth 3 variations whatsoever? Will they just give him some tools to throw or some sort of mixture of what Erron and Kung Jin will be doing?
I see no good coming from this.
 
The hate is delicious, pure bliss. Not nearly as good as the Freddy hate storm, but I'll take it.

Funny thing is that Jason is the only character in game who could actually survive all those x ray attacks.
