Jason

I still feel iffy on the whole thing. I love Jason as the next guy but he does not work for a MK game. He does not speak and he is slow as hell. Not to mention all he does is stab people with his machete. With Predator and Spawn, they have different ways to kill people.
 
I'm sure NRS will give him some awesome variations. He has good potential. I hope the other guest character is Predator though. Jason and Predator. That would be sweet. I also think that NRS will put in more guest characters through DLC (not in the Kombat Pack).

Pretty such as creative as NRS is, they're going to make him a very interesting character rather than just stabbing.

Not true. Jason has used many tools other than the machete. Spears, a long circular saw, hammers, knifes, his bare hands, axes, etc.

Whether or not a character talks does not matter even a little bit. If you think that's all he does, then you need to go watch one of his movies.
 
could you imagine some of the fatality/brutality possibilities

my problem is , Jason is more of a Stalker and Stealth Killer, not a fighter, sure he will fight back but usually it's more to avoid the attack than to actually attack, i also REALLY hope NRS used the Jason from Parts 2-4 as those are the BEST in the film series , hated everything else after

Can someone please explain the whole kombat pack/DLC thing? I know the kombat pack comes with 2 classic mk fighters and two guest fighters, but do I have to order the whole pack or can you buy characters separately? What's the difference between the pack and dlc? Gamestop had no idea lol thanks
 
Mixed feeling...I was really hoping the Friday the 13th Stream wasn't a hint at this, but I will say he looks amazing and as of right now i will definitely be willing to give him a chance, but not repeatedly.

Now the only question is, is this the Jason that Walks methodically at you or the one who strikes instant fear by running at you. I think that will also be a determining factor for how he is received!

The purpose of the Kombat pack is to have access to each of the characters the day they're released. After all of them have been released, people who didn't have the Kombat Pack can choose to buy any of the contents included.

The Pack is DLC.

To answer your question; No. It's because I'm not a fan of their movies. Jason only knows how to kill teenagers and Freddy only knows how to kill people when they're sleeping so I can't see them in games like MK. Just because they're related to gore doesn't mean they fit the MK universe. In my honest opinion, Jason can stick it.

Jason, a guy with a hockey mask and a knife, fights in just as well as a guy with a razer hat thing. Freddy, who kills people in their dreams, fits right in with a soul from hell that can copy itself somehow.
 
Like I said, I just don't think they fit in the MK universe. They're just in for sales and nothing more.

They really aren't supposed to.

I mean, Yoda, Darth Vader and Starkiller don't fit into Soul Calibur, nore does Link, Spawn, or (To be completely honest) Yoshimetsu. I know you probably didn't like them either, but nor do Freddy or Kratos in MK.

As long as NRS/WB uses the money generated to keep making MK games, what's the hurt of putting them in "Just for sales"?
