Injustice 2 Media and Discussion Thread!

I dig his look, but man they really assed out with his moveset. Hellboy has such a crazy mythos and I bet all of his special weapons will be gear moves that 90% of players will never unlock or use.

That trailer just sucked. Why generic dialouge with Atrocitus? He's such a charismatic character, but he's spouting nothing lines with a character who in turn has nothing unique to say.

Well, Atom looks better there than he did in the trailer, at least…

Injustice 2 Open Beta was such surprise, that I decided to try it out. Well performance is actually pretty decent. Have some framedrops in couple of stages, but apart that it is smooth AF. Also no connection issues. Shame it is only random 1v1. No ability to play with a friend.

Even managed to find my main. Supergirl. Which was pretty ironic as I dislike Superman.

Well Boon was right. It certainly was a shocker and something they've never done before.

When I first saw the sai, I was afraid it was gonna be Mileena.

When I saw it, I HOPED it was Mileena. But then I was so disappointed that I couldn't do anything but laugh.

Anyways, we got Enchantress, that'll be my character for this pack. The other two (five)... meh...

Not gonna lie, I was gonna sell my copy of Injustice and I hope they stop putting so many freaking guest characters as DLC when MK11 comings out (definitely not purchasing any Kombat Packs), but I might be in the minority that actually hyped about the Ninja Turtles being in the game. Might keep my copy just for them, lol.

Besides that, they seriously need to either make another game with all of these randoms or just stop putting them in their games all together because I didn't think they'd really put so many guest in Injustice like they did with MKX (but then again they have the same number of guest characters as MKX).

this is the most hype thing Ive ever seen since ages in the FGC like holy crap!
been playing the old TMNT games all day long and now they are back in I2? crazy!
I hope we get all 4 turtles so that means 6 characters in FP3.

TMNT is just kinda too... kid-like, imo. Doesn't fit in with the rest...

They originally didn't start out kid-like though. It started as a serious comic book which then got adapted into light hearted cartoon(which is how most people were introduced to them). However there was a cartoon in 2003 that adapted closely to the original comics maintaining dark aspects but still appealing to younger audiences.

The TMNT have even had a few crossovers with Batman.

To be Devil's lawyer here... TMNT in the beginning wasn't actually kid friendly. Especially comics. It was for more mature audience. Later on they toned it down to kids stuff. So in this case. They are back to mature level.

I can't think of how a comic book about four turtle-furries playing ninjas in the sewers could be for a mature audience at their conception... I guess it was another time back then.

I'd also like to add that many characters that have been around for a while have had different incarnations and takes on their personalities and universes. Not unlike the TMNT, Batman for example had a lighter and softer incarnation in the Adam West tv show which was as silly and as goofy as it gets. Aquaman was the laughingstock of superheroes for decades because of the Super Friends cartoon. Justice League had that awful pilot movie in the 90s that made its members look like bad cosplayers; etc. all which affected the perception of audiences about those characters for a period of time. To some, the idea of a dark and gritty Batman was alien to them because they grew up with Adam West.

Then you understand my predicament. I grew up with the 90's TMNT cartoon show which was goofy and cheesy as hell, meant for children to sell toys, as most kids cartoons were back then. So the idea of them initially being created as mature content is pretty alien to me.

I mean, even in the FP3 trailer they are presented just like that... silly cartoonish characters crashing a party with cheesy one-liners. There's nothing mature or dark about them, really...
