Injustice 2 Media and Discussion Thread!

InjustASS storymode is so well done from what I can see, it's like watching a movie. VO, pacing, animations, T&A. It just works.

Just a heads up, expect a lot of this on Day 1

Pig is a very talented player who actually knows how to zone effectively. The clowns online won't be this hard getting in on.

It was completely digusting. My boy was making mashed potatoes over here trying to beat that zoning

Most of the tournament players from Testyourmight have had the game for a while now. I'm not surprised to see them already destroying people online. I'm not complaining or anything because this sort of thing been going on since the birth of fighting games so it's expected. I've got the ultimate edition installed on my ps4 pro. The waiting sucks but My body is ready.

I'm not all that interested in the tournament scene, but I recognize the importance it has to a game's longevity and improvement of a fighting game franchise.

But I have a question for you guys who do care about it...
Do you find it unfair that some people get the game earlier to practise and such? Is it something that would be considered bad amongst the tournament scene?

Wether it's fair or not doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things because it's a known fact that mom and pop stores break street dates all the time. It's up to WB and NRS to do something about it. A tournament player wanting to compete for that big pot bonus wants to get their hands on the game as quickly as possible. If I had the chance to play the game earlier I do the same. There was a thread on Testyourmight about this very subject but most people there all agree that it's nothing worth getting butt hurt over. It doesn't bother me that someone got the game a week before me. I don't really have a problem catching up with the tech that discovered because there's all kinds of info out there about any broken or dumb stuff.

Reo's Ivy breakdown. He also has breakdown videos of Cheetah, Joker, Cold and Firestorm on his channel. All good stuff.

I'm going to give Ivy a try before making Starfire my main. But I really hate that Ivy doesn't have a good wake up :(
Wonder Woman is going to be really fun too!

[NO SPOILER COMMENT]

Well, since a few days there have been the whole story mode on YouTube, and yesterday a guy posted full in english, so obviously I watched.

This game had fantastic improvement (I'm not talking about playability or roster choices, because I think they were very well done), the graphics are excellent, the mokap is a big FU to any fighting game franchise that tries to make story modes (and fails). Man, they animated lips and neck expressions very well, it looked very realistic, though the environment sometimes clunky.

Also, those complaints about female faces...tbh? They all look pretty good IMO. Harley, Dina and Ivy are very pretty and their expressions are very detailed. Even Catwoman people usually hate looks very good. Maybe Wonder Woman is the less...believable of all. And the best thing is that they know they look good, sometimes the camera just stops to admire their faces.

Yet, I felt the story mode a little cold. It didn't look like that big disgrace coming like in the first game, despite all the qualities. Once again NRS took the road of not combining the roster with the plot, and some characters just got very, but very few space in the story that I'm still asking why they were even there. MKX, for exemple, handled that better, even though we got BS Old Liu Kang/Kung Lao.

But when it comes to the plot, I think it didn't offer much emotion or something. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a lot, but it offered less surprises or new things than the first. They did gave attention to people that maybe wouldn't but totally wasted others (in terms of story, remember, cause the inclusion of those in the roster, adding intros, gear, etc., is super cool).

Now, about the ending [don't click the button bellow if you don't wanna get spoiled for obvious reasons]

Spoiler:
Brainiac was just Corrupted Shinnok treated. Ok, this time wasn't someone like Cassie, but Superman AND Batman, and that's much appropriate. But then he just takes a nap, after everything, all that power, and that's it. No matter what ending you choose,
you just don't get any actual fate for him, despite Superman's being obvious.

And those endings, well, Batman's seems to be the most believable, but still is just a replay of the first game, but more severe. It gives more room to a sequel, but I'm afraid that they make Earthrrealm like: invasion after invasion, destruction atop of the other. I think in a possible sequel they should refresh things, much like I wish they do in MK11 (you know, get off planet/realm).

Now Superman's ending is SO EXTREME, so distorted, that I doubt it will get a sequel. it's basically the first game but very f***
up, and if someone appears to help, well, replay, and if someone like Darkseid appears, well, replay from the second game.

Wasn't until yesterday that i looked into Injustice 2, today I preordered. I bought into the hype even tho I dont care for DC. See you all tomorrow when the game drops.

This is a pretty solid day 1 display by SF of what CC
is capable of in I2. My I2 copy got sent out today,
so I will most likely have some time tomorrow evening after work hitting the lab at first.

he was grinding games with Deadshoot most of the time though lol.

Honestly, this was painful to watch. There were a few instances where the other player manages to close the gap but it's usually too late. Hopefully, it's just due to players being unfamiliar with game's mechanics than making zoning too rewarding.

I was going to not complain about the zoning here but honestly it seems a little fast.

Like deadshot was able to completely destroy Green Lantern's super. I assumed super was gonna have some form of super armor but nope, GL got shredded by those bullets.

I know its day 1 and Sonic fox is making it look easy against the regulars but he's making Deathstroke seem like you needed a PhD to zone in Injustice 1.

Day 1 impressions: Half and Half.
The gameplay is a big improvement over the first injustices. The Story (tho I haven't finished it) is also an improvement and it's a heck of a lot more consistent with continuity than MKX. The roster selection is the best that I've seen in a fighting game for a while. Seriously, it was hard for me to decide who I wanted to play as. This is the first fighting game I've played where I wanted to play as every single character. The random city destruction is gone now, thank God. The alternate character skins are great (you can switch Cheetah with Vixen).

Now for the things I dislike:
The gear system is lowkey trash depending on the type of player you are. I understand they want to prevent people from being overpowered during online matches, but what's the purpose of allowing me to unlock level 20 gear at level 2 when I can't use it? If I was someone who wanted to play as another character, I'd be discouraged from doing so because they put level caps on the gears. Why would I ever want to play as anyone other than Cheetah, Harley Quinn, and Black Canary when those three is literally the highest level characters I have so far? They need to either force you to only receive gear for your current level or they need to remove the freaking caps because it's really annoying.
Another gripe which isn't as major is the cosmetic colors. Paying for color palettes is 2017 is a no-no, whether it's with real money or not. And it's way too easy to unlock the alternate skins when all you have to do is buy them. They should've just locked the alternate skins behind rare premium gear instead.

I haven't played the online multiplayer yet so there's nothing I can say about that right now. I don't plan to purchase PSN anytime soon though.

I fought HoneyBee Commander's Deadshot. You have enough time to walk forward and duck each shot. Deadshot has to spend meter to hit you low.

Want to beat Deadshot? Pick Gorilla Grodd(not my video)

People just need to calm down, it's only Day 1.

EDIT: because Deadshot's regular shots are one hit, you can actually armor through them.

I wonder if you can MB roll through his MB low rifle shots.
