Injustice 2 Media and Discussion Thread!

This notion that ALL human female characters HAS to be super sexy and pretty is just... ugh! Sorry to break your little bubble, but not all women are supermodels.

I hope this ain't directed to me because I think you should know by now that I'm not for females in a fighting game to be all beautiful and princess-sy-like.

But they also shouldn't look manly. Supergirl is.... ew. The two female characters so far have bland looking faces.

However, like I said, I know they'll be touching up stuff since this is all brand new and whatever. At least no one has giraffe necks like Cassie did. Thank heavens for that.

Oh, not at you, just what I've seen alot of people whine about in general in, like, forever! XD

Wonder Woman looks horrible. Just look at this face.

No matter how good their models get, NRS has a horrible problem with female characters and scowling. Almost every render of I1 Wonder Woman looked like an angry caveman

Yeah, their models look really nice from what we've seen, but just the faces... Yeauck.

It's definitely a improvement over the first game but it looks like NRS tried to copy L A noire face technology. It looks good one minute and butt ugly the next. It's so strange considering the women in mkx looked awesome. That being said I'm sure it will improve over time

There is something about the skin tone and texture that doesn't match the rest of the body, as if the face was superimposed in Photoshop.

The Blue Beetle looks funny too. The mocap face and plastic-looking suit clash with one another.

I think NRS has mastered the art of, putting so much man-woman face out there.

That even a slight improvement, makes you think they look good.

They are slowly trying to lower your standards.

So by not having faces that look like perfect supermodels or anime doll faces, it's lowered standard?

I personally think WW kinda looks like Alanis Morissette.

Wonder Woman was created from clay. She was sculpted to be the perfect woman.

Kinda like how character models are made. It's kinda like this piece of clay you then sculpt.
I know Wonder Woman is supposed to have "the beauty of Aphrodite", I know that whole ordeal about her... She is supposed to look like the perfect woman that every man wants to bone and that no other woman can compete with. I get that.

But there are alot to take into account here.
- The actor who does the facial motion capture.
- The skills and talent of the character modeller.
- That NRS is obviously aiming to make faces look realistic.
- The fact that the models still need polishing and all we've seen is early footage.
- The fact that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
- The fact that there is no such thing as the perfect woman.

Alot of things can happen from now and until release.

Constructive criticism is a good thing. But mostly I just see people go "BOOOH, she's ugly!" when giving negative criticism. I personally don't think she's ugly, I think she looks fantastic, and I don't even care about Wonder Woman as a character.

Ever since 2011, they just have the weirdest look to their modeling. It's like they want it to be realistic, but also have that cartoonish feel as well, and it's done in a way where it makes things just look, odd, at certain points.

Like how the two pictures in this thread of Blue Beetle and Wonder Woman both look really odd, despite that most of it has to do with the lighting. Still, they just have an odd look to their stuff. Not saying that it's bad or good, it's just odd.

If the devs don't know that something is wrong with the characters' models, they'd never fix them. If Tanya fans never complained about the Hair and Skin Color, she's never get her model reworked. The Story Mode Model was the exact same model they had back in 2013. People complained about Cassie and they changed that. People complained about the oversexualized costumes from MK9, and they changed those in MKX. People complained about Zatanna's Face, and they reworked that before actually releasing her. People need to complain about this type of stuff or they'll just assume it's good enough and will let it fly.

Constructive criticism. Not whining like a b#tch.

Saying the face looks bad is constructive criticism. It would be different if someone said "Wonder Woman's Model looks ugly. That Wonder Woman is trash. I don't want Wonder Woman to look like this." But the complaint is pointed out directly, so they'd know exactly what's wrong with Wonder Woman. Her face is terrible. That's clear enough for them to know what needs to be fixed. They aren't blind.
