If MKAK actually had real difficulty settings...

What would be the maximum amount you would pay for it?

For me I'd pay a maximum of 25 just to have the satisfaction of being able to beat MK2 and UMK3

I've solved the AI on all 3 games, so it makes no difference to me. In fact, I'm so much of a purist that I think the arcade AI should remain untouched.

and Cheats if you want to use them.

Who do you think you are, Jose Canseco? I detest cheating!

I'm used to the AI, so I wouldn't pay anything for it. It'd be nice to have something more realistic, but I'm fine with what we've got.

But its optional, I can go through the arcade without unlimited health but when i want to change characters with out waiting until i lose i have a cheat menu to use.

I agree whole heartily about being able to change the AI difficulty but than again there was a lot of things that was left out but thats opening up a whole other can of worms.

The patch will fix this........
It will not fix the difficulty because its not broken. It was meant to be like this in the first place. Its just ****ing hard. Street Fighter 2 in the arcades is alot harder than any Mortal Kombat but thats my opinion. Then again i play MK alot

In SF2, there was an in-game glitch that allowed you to cheat to get to Vega. (yes, the REAL name of the military dictator/psycho power dude is Vega; M. Bison is the boxer dude! I refuse to acknowledge the names used in Western markets for the bosses!) Anyone remember that?

Why mess with it? The MK AI has always been the same, and if you play the game enough you can figure out ways to beat the cheesiness that its sometimes throws at you. I dont know why anyone would want to make it harder than it already is...lol

I hope the AI gets different difficulty settings, default being the arcade one or something like that.

I'm OK with the arcade AI being there, but it's not much fun nowadays. What I personally mean is, it's no longer fun to "exploit" the AI to win... you want a more realistic, human-like AI to play against. Besides, the AI cheats like hell: grabs you mid-uppercut, "predicts" your moves (since it can read your button inputs) ... and can even grab you from Johnny Cage's shadow kick! That's not fun, it's unfair, and only makes you resort to crap tactics like jump kicking back and forward.

Winning is more important than how fun your methods of doing so are.

Winning against cheap AI doesn't please me. Like Leingod said I bought the game to have fun. Not do the same thing every play through just to win.

The AI in MKAK is an accurate reflection of the arcade games, not something broken that needs patched. Making it easy for people not used to hard games would make me a sad panda.

Also re: SF people...

The guy we know as Bison is Vega in Japan, the guy we know as Vega is known as Balrog, and Balrog is M. Bison because in Japan he was supposed to be based on Mike Tyson. Capcom was afraid they'd get sued in the US so they changed the names here.

I actually don't mind the settings at all.

Yeah, it's hard, and I NEVER thought I would beat the games, but I just figured out strategies and beat it. It might take some time but its worth the win, though frustrating a lot, lol.

THIS is why I recognize the Japanese boss names over the US ones! You tell me, does the name "Mike Bison" belong to some military dictator/leader of an international drug cartel dude, or does it belong to a corrupt boxer who bears a striking resemblance to Mike Tyson (with more than just the name...especially if you saw his original VS screen photo in the original SFII; even one of his win quotes over the years referenced the infamous "Bite Fight")
