Seems like Boon and co showed us mostly everything up front prior to the release (thinking specifically of the roster, boss and unlockable - unless there are more they've kept expertly hidden). In fact, it was almost subversive, given we all thought there was no way Shinnok could be the boss and unlockable given he was revealed far prior to release, even though it was staring us all right in the face. Could this have been a result of the current climate where nothing stars secretive for very long? Did Boon capitulate due to the inevitability that most would be leaked prior to release anyways, so why not control the reveals by showing (almost) everything the game has to offer prior to release? Or do you think there will still be secrets to be found once the game comes out?
A secondary question, does it irk you that everything is leaked before hand, or does it only heighten your anticipation for the game?
And lastly (and pardon if this is a terrible question as I have no technical knowledge), is it possible to hold things back on the initial shipments, and then release a patch on the first day that must be downloaded that would insert the secrets (such as an unlockable character or stage) as a way of countering potential pre-release leaks?
