So midnight has passed here in Australia over three hours ago. I spent it with my best mate trying to get to the party and countdown. We made it two minutes after midnight. Oh well, we ended up playing Mario Party 9 and boy, what a fun game to play with your best mates.

What will you be doing for the start of the year, and what are your new years resolution?

I'll probably try to head back into the gym. Been putting that off for far too long now. Starting to get a belly.

Taking my girlfriend out to another friend's birthday party, then going to a proper New Year's party.

As far as plans for the new year, well I still have a local gym membership, so I should start getting motivated to work off everything I gained this past year (up 25 lbs. from this time last year).

I will be passed out by 8pm then wake up at 4am with a gut wrenching twitch.

Then probably start working out and start on spring cleaning....from last year.

My new years will be started out with me and a few friends smoking and getting super baked and then probably play some games afterwards and drink some champagne and that'll be it. Nothing special.

My new years resolution though is to quit drinking pop. Cut out a lot of sugar in general.

I'll never understand new years resolutions.

Why not just resolve everything that's wrong... at the time it's wrong >.>

why wait til new years?

Fat? work out, calorie count, eat healthy
Dumb? take steps to buy books/research/go to school

Why wait til january 1st to start this stuff?

I thought the same

I don't have one because I'm always trying to work out the kinks in my life.

But...I guess it's for a little motivation or something? I don't know, lol I just think goals should always be aspired to reaching all-year round.

It's a good way to start/continue goals in life. One could already be exercising and have reached their target weight in 2012, so for 2013 they will set another target weight if they wish to. ie. Was 100, reached target goal of 80 for 2012. For 2013, target is 70. etc. There are many people who just don't have the motivation to do things, so the new year might just be able to jump start it.

I guess it's because it's a completely new year, so some people completely change their mind set on a few things. Such as things I could have done better than the previous year. Like, I've been getting far too many silly fines the past couple months so I should change the way I drive/behave on the road..

8 days late but happy 2013! This year I promise I will try to be a more active member of these forums. I missed this place.

Also, I am going to start working out more frequently then before. Every other day is a good start for me, despite my foot condition (almost torn my ligaments). And hopefully get a girlfriend this year.

I was watching the Steve Harvey show and he was giving reasons on why like 75% of Americans drop their New Years Resolutions, lol.

Best reason was:

You were drunk while you were making it.
