Guest character opinions

I didn't want a guest character for MKX but since the special editions are announced, we already now that there will be at least two. I really hope it's the Predator, the "father" of MK cyber ninjas. Predator is such a great character. It is easier to make three variations for him than for some popular MK characters like Jax, Jade or Nightwolf.

I would like Spawn to be the second guest character. He has as many moves as the Predator which is great for the three variations system. Another possibility would be Blade. Being bad ass black guys, Spawn or Blade could replace the stereotyped black guy Jax easily. Also Blade could be this vampire in a Mortal Kombat game people always wanted since Nitara that is an awful character.

I can see Predator's bio. After discovering Outworld, Predator wants to extend his trophy collection with Tarkatans, Shokans, Centaurs, Raptors and Osh-Tekks.

Spawn: After fighting Satan, Spawn learns that there are more dangerous creatures in Hell. He wants to take down the BoS once and for all.

What do you think?

Spawn works better in MK then he does in SC. Spawn was one of my favorite guest fighters in SC2 next to Link but Spawn can get away much more in MK then he can in the Soul series with a M rating.

yeah i agree with Guyver spawn. i feel spawn was very out of place in Soul calibur and would be a much better fit for MK

My idea for Spawn's bio in MKX could be that Malebolgia sends Spawn in the MK universe during the Nether Realm Invasion so that he retrieve Shinnok's Amulet. Malebolgia wants the amulet for ultimate power in order to take over the Universe. Spawn finds himself in war between the realms and that his only way home to steal the amulet, and defeat Fire God Liu Kang (if he's the boss of the game).

spawn makes the most sense for dlc for mkx then jason right now becuase they could come up three vartions for him easily where as jason i don't know any varitions you could come up for jason

Don't care much for guest characters. If they put Spawn, it's a character that I like, I imagine if they will do that amazing cape of his the way it should be.

Going by what Todd said, it sounds like NRS has the rights to use the character. I would imagine popular fan demand help put Spawn in MKX. Ed most likely got a lot of tweets of Spawn, Predator and Jason as guest fighters. I thought we would never see Spawn be in MKX and now my day is made. I wanted Spawn in a MK game as long as I can remember. As a kid in the 90's, those two were peanut butter and jelly to me.

Well Todd says that he wants Spawn to be popular again. I think having him in MKX can test to see how many people still care about the character since he has not been in any major media since 2003.

But this was one month ago, and Todd hadn't heard a peep from NRS by then. So I'd say it's pretty certain we won't see Spawn on release.

Maybe they did sign the deal but Todd is now under contract to keep quiet about it.

Guest fighters are DLC in MKX. Spawn is likely going to one of the guest fighters in MKX since they mention that we are getting two guest fighters in MKX. Todd wanted Spawn in Injustice over a year ago and it was possible that he ask NRS to add him in Injustice but told him that they were done with the game. NRS likely suggested to put him in MKX and Todd agree with it.
