somebody mentioned ash from evil dead. its very unlikley but i can totally picture ash getting transported into outworld and not having a clue whats going on lol
 
Sam Raimi does not like other people using Ash without his control. He told New Cinema that they can't use Ash for Freddy vs. Jason 2 back in 2006 or 2007. I doubt he will let Ash be in a fighting game where other people can rip him in half and cut his head off.
 
Man for me is a coin toss between Spawn and Predator. They both fit and are in great demand.
there is no excuse, NRS have been given the green light to put Spawn in MKX, if they dont put him in i will flip out.

Tamika: Alright, we need to see Spawn in a movie first. And so, seeing him in Injustice or Mortal Kombat would be really cool. Can you make that happen after the movie?

Todd: We actually have a short deal with them. They may put them in there. But after the movie, yeah yeah yeah! They can pick and choose and do some really cool stuff. I'll be directing the movie. I'll write, produce, and direct it and we'll see how it goes from there.

Tamika: So, you mentioned you had a short deal. You mentioned Mortal Kombat. Can you tell us about what does that mean?

Todd: That means they have access to be able to use the character in a couple of other games if they want to. Again, it's up to their discretion. So, I gave them a window of time and so I'll leave it up to them. They'll be able to do what they want. So, eventually they'll phone me and go 'hey, we want to use him here. Is that ok?'. Well, techncially it's ok cause we've already said yeah. They're just letting us know.

again it up to nrs studios if they want him in and juding by the red velvet stuff it make more sense now red velvet oreo= spawn red cape
 
I see people on Neogaf saying Spawn in MKX makes no sense if MK is own by DC comics and Spawn is publish by Image. Todd owns the rights to Spawn and Image Comics just publish the comics. Todd does not mind Spawn crossing over with other series. Spawn even crossover with Batman twice and even had plans for a third crossover. It would be a total waste if NRS got the rights to Spawn and chose not to use him. We just have to keep on tweeting Ed Boon and NRS to show that we want them to use him as DLC.

the more i think about the oreo stuff his main body costume is oreo color like and combine it with the red velvet for red cape and you get spawn
 
I guess it's possible that Todd did got MK and SC2 HD mixed up but I'm hoping that what he said NRS having the rights to use Spawn is true. I guess we can only know for sure if someone asks Ed Boon or someone at NRS, or once the game is out since people will likely hack into the season pass like they did with Injustice.

Plus the movie was distributed by New Line Cinema (WB) and the animated series was on HBO (also WB). It's not the first time he'll work with WB, so...

Personally, I'd love to see him in MKX. That select screen mockup is amazing.

Jason would be OK, but I'd find him a bit boring. Too similar to Freddy. I just want someone completely different. Sweet Tooth I doubt will happen. Rorsarch could be cool, who knows. Raziel from Soul Reaver too, but I find it unlikely sadly.

DC? I think you meant WB. And no control? Far from it... It's not like NRS can do anything they want and not even ask... It doesn't work like that... anywhere.
 
after the movie? regardless its gonna be a win/win for both of them. if anything I think its more beneficial for Todd if spawn is in MKX, that will be a great promotion and Iit'll spark interest again. it needs to be played by Michael J White though, no exception.

its funny they keep saying how powerful these next Gen tech are. We'll see about that,, Spawn and his Living Cloak will put that to the test.

If Kano can't have underwear to maintain 60fps, Spawn will lack underwear, genitals, hair and tits for that cape to be smooth.

Guest characters have to be fighters, otherwise it doesn't really fit into a fighting game. This is why Spawn and Predator would be cool for MKX. Having the Xenomorph would look weird, I can't imagine it fighting like other kombatants. I have a feeling that Kratos looks better than Freddy in MK9 because Kratos fights in GoW. Freddy fights Jason in Freddy vs. Jason but he usually just kills (like the Xenomorph in the movies).

Blade would be a cool (black) character for MKX. Much better than Jax.
 
I don't think the Xenomorph can even fit from a mechanics perspective. Any half decent take on the Xenomorph would require his forward leaning stance and the long ass tail, that is really troublesome for this game. Not to mention his skull and torso shape requires new animations for most x-rays and fatalities in order to fit with his body. It's pretty much the same as Motaro and why he wasn't considered, maybe even worse.
They'd have to put him standing straight vertical and with the tail glued to the body, at which point it already sucks.

Well I doubt Marvel would let a WB related group use Blade, but then again WB did publish Lego Marvel...
And Spawn is also Black. Him and Jax do have something else in common.
 
What confuses me about the Predator rumor is why they would pick Dillon as a fighter? Dutch would make more sense and I don't want Dutch in the game. I rather have Predator be only the Predator character in the game.
