General Injustice Gods Among Us Gameplay Chat

But another Universal buff will make everyone with godlike D2s even better. Therefore we'll still be in the same situation. Nothing will have changed. The good will get better, the worst will get good.

Batman was just the example as his hitbox is completely retarded. If people don't want aerial combat then nerf the aerial approaches.

I agree with Interactables, respawns should be removed.

Walk speed not so sure of, Id prefer a dash speed increase.

If you turn off a stage interactables and transitions that should be it, the other people shouldn't get the choice.

Nerf projectiles universally, cool down or whatever.

The current game as it stands now is, walk back, shoot something, walk back some more, throw something, keep walking back......Its not a fighting game.

Yea, I agree that they should just fix the D2's that are bad, and Nerfing isn't the answer to everything and Aerial combat is needed to get damage in on Keep-away characters, and I prefer walking than dashing because you can immediately switch to block while walking and there's no recovery time for the walking animation so you can press any button at any given time.

NRS fukked up because they gave someone a gun in a 2d fighting game. With bullets that travel as fast as bullets. Then factor in that there is no projectile trading. That is unbelievably retarded.

With intractables, the way I see it, it should be like stage select. You choose to turn them off, opponent wants them on and the game spins to see who gets what they want. Because I'm now in the club of thinking that interactables are absolute horseshit. There is SO MUCH reward for almost no risk. Unblockable 20% with incredible startup in some instances, has massive hitbox, tracks, OTG's and has almost no recovery.

The skill it takes to avoid an interactable vastly outweighs what it takes to use one.

As for Batman, his J2 is not the problem. It's his jump arc. It's so short and fast that it's hard to react to when coupled with the invisible third leg he has protruding from under his knee.

Thought I would give this game another go. Deciding to main Superman till Wednesday when he gets nerfed. Just literally perfected this player by spamming laser blast with Superman, It's the fact I am able to more or less do that in a match against people who should be more skilled than me and win when I have played the about 80 or so matches since release, give's me reasons to dislike this game.

Saw Aris say pick a character and play as lamely as possible and you will have a blast. I guess I sort of had a blast.

Before anyone starts, remember what Booker T says "don't hate the playa hate the game".

I'm Salty as Fvck right now, Played this Aquaman who was good. He would check me with Tridents and used most of Aquaman's normals at Max range, basically keeping me out. I came close to making a 10% to 75% comeback, but when were both even at 10% He Yolo'd super my ass off a hard knockdown. It's my fault though, should have payed him more respect.

Whenever read 'Salt' all I think is this:

1. Faster walking speed.
2. Starting out with one bar of meter.
3. Normalize interactables.
4. Interactables don't respawn.
5. Hate to say it but nerf the pig. Maybe give it less room to travel.
6. Dash cancelling.
7. Changes to the clash system. Using all 4 bars should be worth it.
8. Bounce cancel one meter.

8. Bounce cancel one meter.

Disagree with those two.
The 3% gained by the 4th bar is a huge mind game when it comes to wagering. Bluffing your bet to get them to use all of their meter because they thought you bet 1 bar so they think they aren't wasting the 4th bar since your one bar cancels out their 4th bar giving them 30% health instead of 33% because if they bet a bar and you bet 3 bars you'd only get 25% and you want the extra 5% and asldkfj;lasdifh;owefhdslkfnhoewiufhoifi;o;of;fiiifh;oaspigh;dslkjhf;lDhfvds;lfk

Lot of shit to Consider and that 3rd percent is a nice slap in the face to people who can't think on the fly.

Bounce cancels should stay at 2 bars because they're powerful enough as is. Completely changing the dynamics of strings and allowing for combos off unchainable normals.

In theory that's right. But people don't use mind games with wagering. If person A has two bars and person B has three bars, person B will just bet their max. Whoever has more meter going into the clash always wins. Only professional players use mindgames, which they still could even with that change. Bounce cancels aren't that powerful, they are almost never used.

So what happens when things become used more? We should just change it now even though it's potential hasn't been fully realized yet?
NRS does that already

Bounce cancels are never used because the 2 bars needed to do them is absolutely not worth it EVER. I agree with all the changes except the wager change. Starting with 1 meter , walking speed increase , and dash cancelling would be huge! Those 3 are the only changes that I believe are completely necessary.

I usually use Bounce Cancels when doing a transition while performing a juggling combo, otherwise it's not worth using 2 bars for. Definitely agree that the mindgames are not enough to get some good competition. Also on the walking speed. Usually the best fights come from non-zoning and more into the beatdown, up close and personal.

The "potential hasn't been fully realized" because it's not even worth doing for two bars. There are reasons why people don't use it.

It isn't worth 2 bars? You guys don't even play this game.

Confirming an unsafe block string into a bounce cancel to make it safe/catch a counter attack

Giving new mixup opportunities by using low starters into bounce cancel overheads.

Optimal damage combos off of poke normals

Not worth it they say. Step that game up girl

Just to shoot down the "It costs too much Meter" counter-argument.

Everyone on the cast can build up the entire super meter in less than 30 secs of the game clock by just playing neutral, You build meter from taking damage, dealing damage, using specials, and using MB specials, and if you play in such a way that you don't do any of the things I brought up to build meter you should really put the controller down and sell your system.
