General Injustice Gods Among Us Gameplay Chat

Nah, The 360 Pad is Ass tier bro.

Do you know how hard it is to D1 into B,F Inputs on the 360 pad? In the button log I come out with Diagonal inputs when trying to D1 punish people, It's so bad that I've given up on trying to preform them online and I think we should encourage the new comers and provide them with knowledge in a polite way instead of putting them on blast on their first few post, but that's just me.

I can do that just fine, I don't have any problems with the 360 controller whatsoever for Injustice or MK9. I can Nomad Dash like no ones business on a 360 controller, so it can't be as bad as people say. He might be new, with only two posts, but so far he's just whining. It doesn't matter if someone has two posts or two million posts. Freedom of speech.

I don't see how people spamming the same move such a big problem.
If you can't figure out a way to counter it and bait them then you obviously suck.
Mindgaming people into something that will rape them is fun.

I agree that if someone keeps doing the same thing and you keep falling for it, it's your fault.

BUT

What if you don't know how to get around what they are doing? Then doing one thing constantly can be really frustrating. Even if I get matched up with a noob, I don't exploit them. If I see they have a problem getting around my zoning, I back down a little. I only zone hard if they are the typical a-hole online player with no dignity. Sometimes I'll loop my Ares reset 3 times in a row on them and it does I think 29% each time I believe. Finish them off with an axe, bichz love axes.

I don't care what skill level the other player is, Sandbagging is disrespectful IMO. So I play every game to win, I could really care less about whining from Hate mail lol.

Immortal, Is that Ares reset unavoidable?

To your average online gamer, it's basically 100% guaranteed. It's avoidable though, specials with invincible frames can get out of it. I don't know for sure but I think you MIGHT be able to backdash out of it. Specials with invincible frames that also move your character are the best to get out of it. Like his own God Smack special. Killer Frost's slide would be great to get out of it if that has invincible frames.

If Ares did that reset attack and landed on the opposite side as a cross-up, then 100% unavoidable, no matter what you do. But Reaver is right, characters that have specials with invincible frames can escape out of that reset, if he lands that MB Quake in front of them instead of behind as a cross-up, but definitely before he actually lands it.

Armor on a safe slide, No thanks lol.

I even think the slide is lame and I use her as a secondary.

She has a pressure string (1,1,1 ~ 4) It leaves her at +21 and gets free Mix-up after you can either slide or F3, you should always end your combos with Flash Freeze for another HighLow 50/50.

2,2 is a good Footsies tool that has decent range and you can Hit confirm into slide for 30%+ or 28% (Ending with Flash Freeze for another Mix-up) You can also 2,2 ~ 4 for a pressure string that leaves her at +15 I believe, I can't remember the exact numbers.

From Full screen you have daggers and Black Ice, I usually check with Black ice and try to read dashes so I can MB the Ice pillar and combo into slide, end with Flashing Freeze for another Mix-up and pray that they guess wrong. This is all I know about her, but for more info check the Killer Frost forum on TYM.

I don't mean armor, just something to change things up. Like a MB slide could have a different effect like send them higher in the air or anything like that. But thanks

1114.... the trait cancels recovery frames to recover faster? 22 is good and similar to Sub-Zero's 22. 13 is also good. I was mixing up 13 and 22 and it seemed to do well.

Is it just me or are random KOTH rooms just boring and a waste of time? I miss the KOTH rooms of DOA4 when people used to use mics often. I just hopped in this room and I hear people talking, great! But they are just like...

"dat be havin his staff out n shit

>_>....

You are definitely in the minority. I've never met anyone irl who liked the 360 pad for fighters. It's like trying to use a Frisbee for a keyboard.

Then learn how? There is no excuse for any lack of knowledge in this game. It has a record feature in practice mode and online training. You gotta pay the cost to be the boss baby boi

It's funny, I don't sand bag in this game nearly as much as I did in MK9. I'll still have a little fun with Wanda in the corner and just b.M, H them to death.

It's unblockable. A crossup doesn't matter.

What are the combo and reset notations Reaver? I want to test it out in training.

I play on the 360 and have no problems using the controller. It's not the controller that sucks, it's just you.
Obviously.

Fortunately the controls for this game aren't too bad, it doesn't require 6 buttons for attacks like SF.

But the 360d pad is notoriously bad.

A better player may be able to mitigate controller deficiencies, but a better player and a better controller are surely more desirable, no?

Anyway, it was a slightly offhand remark.

They would have been better actually programming in combos for people to play against. They could have designed a much more in depth, character by character training mode that allowed you to learn the properties of moves/combos.

Infinitely more preferrable than how Star Labs turned out IMO, surely?

I think it's a bit easy to say there's no excuse. Fight games rely on principles that are not readily apparent. To use the record function requries that you know the character you are facing as well as your own otherwise you won't be able to input the combo correctly to try and block it. At the very least, having to record that every single time and set up the training scenario is a tedious solution. That gallery function, as i understand it, is just a playback function. You can't interact.

Online practice is a great addition, but it requires you find living breathing partners to practice against. One of the reasons i play online at all is that i don't know anyone that plays this game (or these games at all). Random matchmaking that doesn't allow regional filtering doesn't help either.

Also:

How exactly do you play Lex without getting either zoned into oblivion or rushed down. All his tools are slooooow.

Sadly because most people aren't friendly.

And it can impact on the lag.
