Need help, I'm trying to write recap of day one from EVO for my web site.

As i'm not into competitive sceen of MK9 can you tell me from with county is each of top 8?

Haven't commented on this yet, but I watched probably 85-90% of it, and it was just amazing. Some people definitely got destroyed in the beginning, but it was still fun.

The best for me was Konqrr vs Slips, Tyrant's Jax vs Online Tony and the epicness of Chris G & Michaelangelo. Denzel was a bigger surprise and REO kicking ass as usual too. Lots of sick players, man. ATL Redd's Liu Kang is ridiculous. Looking forward to Sunday.
 
Definitely disappointed there isn't more variety in the characters being used in the top 8. Otherwise, looking forward to watching.

Who took out Michaelangelo?

Lol what? We have 8 players with 8 different characters? It can't get any more varied than that. We've also seen characters like Jax Sindel and Sonya...

Some people were convinced that we were gonna end up with 6 Kung Laos and 2 Raidens in the top 8.

JediRob wasn't that bad was he? lol. Anyways, really looking forward to the semi's; I'm kinda disappointed that TB and Michelangelo didn't make it in, but it'll be awesome to see the variety in the upcoming matches. Just no more Cookie, please.....

Also, it was pretty funny when Valle beat Detroit and yelled, "Your Soul is Mine" lol.
 
MVP award this year should go to that Jax player... that was a LEGENDARY performance.. I have NEVER seen or knew Jax could kick ass like that
 
Speaking of Jax... where was Crazy Dominican and his brother who plays Jax? These guys could easily make top 8. Anyone know why they didn't attend?
