Honestly, they are missing out on a gold mine if they don't consider adding klassic fatalities, friendships, brutalities and arenas. Do you know how many people want friendships alone, let alone all the other goodies I just mentioned? Don't even get me started on endurance and survival modes. It would not only be pure fan service releasing stuff like friendships, new -alities and the endurance/survival, they'd be making a fortune off of them. It would really increase the longevity of this game. I can't believe that they'd seriously miss out on this golden opportunity to include that stuff as DLC, I just can't.

I can't argue with that. I agree with everything you said there, and I know that a lot of this stuff has been requested. Let's hope NRS/WB also agree.

Personally I'd like to see them update the hell out of this game. Tons of new characters, stages, fatalities, etc.

I would much rather see a steady stream of new content every month or two for a couple of years than nothing new at all and then a new game a couple of years from now.

What I'm saying is I don't care when MK10 comes out, I'd rather see them put whatever they were going to put into MK10 into this game as DLC. I don't even care if we see MK10 this generation. All it would be anyway is MK9 with some new stages, fighters, etc....why not just do all that as DLC? It's not like they're going to create a brand new engine for a fighting game sequel on the same platform.

I wouldn't mind seeing some mini-game DLC, like Puzzle Kombat or something.

Lucky you. Unfortunately on Xbox, you have to watch every single cut-scene.

I played Story Mode 3 times, the 1st time for obvious reasons I didnt try to skip them, but the 2nd and 3rd times I skipped them. Try again, I can even skip the intro with all the corpses, when I do Cage appears against Reptile instantly (though in the intro you have to wait like 5 or 10 seconds to skip if Im not wrong)

Of course! anything to keep the game fresh and relevant. The more time they spend on the game and the more money they make, the better for us. We'll get a higher quality game and continuous support from NRS.

wow I expected a lot more no answers O_O glad so many people are on the same page :D how would you guys feel about a pack of 4 brand new characters after the summer kombatants? I feel like a lot post mk3 characters don't even deserve a chance but everyone has fans so if they make it I'll be happy for their fans. what about new characters though? do you think this reboot of mk is a chance for a bunch of brand new and GOOD characters that are not generic to enter the battle?

Um, work on the next game when this game just came out? How about "HELL NO"?

People forget that this is an alternate timeline, so it's a bad idea to assume MK10 will be a remake of MK4. The only reasons this was a remake of MK1-MK3 was because this is a fan service game, and that was the only way Raiden could prevent the reality of a future Armageddon. Now with Armageddon prevented, there are multiple directions they can take with the storyline. Who's the say the One Being or the woman in Jade's ending aren't the main villains of MK10? Or what if MK10 only focuses on Earthrealm rebuilding its defenses or rescuing the fallen warriors from Quan Chi's control, while Shinnok and Quan Chi only focus on their own armies?

And who gives a damn about the next game? MK9 and its DLC is the focus. They've done such a great job with this game and supporting it, and ditching it like Sega did with the Saturn only for a new game would be a bad move. We don't to start thinking about the next game until it's announced. DLC has absolutely nothing with the story of a future installment, or else Kenshi would've been DLC for the next game and Quan Chi wouldn't have been an on-disc character, he would've come into game only via DLC.

Yeah, so what if the game just came out? Rather than wasting time adding little things to this game they should be getting ready to start the next game. Take five or six months off and do it all over again. Four DLC characters is enough for one game.

Who gives a damn about the next game? Uhm... People who are interested in seeing where the story and characters go? What a stupid question to ask. That's like playing Dragon Age II, beating it and saying "Oh I don't care about the next game. This one just came out."

Be realistic. People are always gonna be curious about the next installment for most great games they play.

I think I'd have very mixed feelings if I were told the next 4 characters were all going to be brand new. I like how Skarlet turned out, and I guess the character coming in August will also be brand new. But I feel that as MK9 is largely a fan service game, the DLC should really be fan favourites.

At this point, the game just came out a few months ago. Why the hell does anybody need to worry about MK10? If that isn't ungrateful, then I don't know what is. I wasn't actually asking if people cared about the next installment lol; nautrally, people are curious about whatever comes next, but to actually start thinking about it? No, they'll be too busy enjoying the game we have now, at least until they get tired of it. Are people worried about the PS4 or the Xbox 720 right now? In the back of their head, sure, they're curious, but they are too busy enjoying their PS3s and 360s. It's the same situation for MK9 and MK10.

And the "little stuff" is the content that should be released DLC. In fact, that's kind of the main stuff that is released as DLC. Do you honestly think it is justifiable to buy an entirely new MK game a year or two from now that is basically the same as this game, only with a few new faces, backdrops, extras and a new story mode, most of which can be released as DLC for this game? That's wasting time and interfering with new content and innovations that they could have thought of and acted upon. Ignoring the potential gold mine of DLC (particularly fan-requested DLC), to merely focus on a successor to your current game, would be very counter-productive and not a good business strategy on NRS' part.

What the hell kind of logic is this? Seriously, what fantasy world are you living in? So no one should be thinking about the next game because the last one is still fresh?

...

Right. And my name is Uthar of Extodius Rune 4.

You're just grasping at straws now.

Most people who finish a game may wonder what will happen or what will be in the next installment very casually (like maybe they might want a certain character(s) that wasn't in this game in the next game or who the villain might be in the next game), but not to the extent you think they do. Anyways, all I'm saying is that DLC for this game is the focus, not MK10, so we should focus on that instead of MK10; what I've just said helps strengthen that argument.

You may not understand what I'm trying to say (which I don't think implies that I'm in some kind of fantasy world like you are saying anyway) but you aren't even making the effort to. Not really a great show of character on your part; try being a little more mature before insulting me next time, or at least comment on more than what you wanted to.

BTW, no, I don't believe that people should be worrying about the next game, because not even NRS is worrying about it yet. That tells you something right there.

Depends on the characters. The only post UMK3 characters I like are Kenshi, Onaga, Quan Chi, Reiko, Shinnok and Skarlet and 3 of those characters are already playable or will be soon and all made an appearence in the game in some form. If we get more DLC characters I really hope it's the bosses.

more is fine, but there should be a limit and quality must be priority, not quantity.

Sometimes less is more, I feel if they look at DLC as a massive revenue stream they may add more kontent of less quality.

Personally I would rather see more levels, stage fatalities, fatalities, challenge tower, ability to buy stuff with coins and extra secret fights and secrets than characters.

Yes, and I know the majority would say the same. Next pack should either be a boss pack including Shao Kahn, Goro, and Kintaro (as playables), along with Shinnok. OR it can be Tanya, Fujin, Reiko, and Khameleon.

Yeah. It tells me that you are clueless. It's pretty obvious that NRS was thinking about the next game while making THIS game.
Looking like this won't be getting anywhere. I've already lost my ability to take you seriously. All you're going to do is insult my intelligence and take specific quotes from my posts out of context. How about actually responding to more than just one or two sentences of my post?

They're not making plans for MK10 or anything, they're just thinking about it casually. A lot of people think about the next game casually. Do you seriously think Vogel and company are actually brainstorming stuff like about how to put Skarlet, Rain and Kenshi in the story of MK10 right now (as in today in general, not the time)? Yeah, I don't think so. And if you really can't see what I'm saying, well there's no point in arguing with you. You're going to have your opinion (and you are pretty convinced about it obviously, despite how wrong I think you are), and I'll have mine.

I don't know how to vote for this, because I'd like more DLC "content," in general.
Extra Klassic Costumes and MAAAAYBE 1 or 2 more characters would be nice, but I'd rather see some DLC stages (with Fatalities, of course).

I'd LOVE to see these stages included:

KOMBAT TOMB

WARRIOR SHRINE

THE PIT 1

Most of all though, I'd love for NRS to give us the Stage Fatality for The Bell Tower.
The Bell Tower without a Stage Fatality, feels SUPER awkward.

I agree that i would rather see some more stages or something than people. Finish the bell tower add a a few stage fatalities in key spots. Hell if they did spin off stories i would pay good money for that as well.
