If they were blockable, I'd agree.

No, i dont think they should be blockable, but they should be slow. Jax pound, Noob's black hole and most of the pop ups and similar are already slow so they dont need to be blockable, except Scorpion's demon fire I think it should stay as unblockable like now but slower.
 
Its better then a few days ago but I think they went a little overboard with barakas b3,1 you can spam that 6 times in the corner now and if jaxes ground pound had auto tracking it would be spam city

That would be cool, too. I just know it's imbalanced in its current form.

I don't have a big problem with it at the moment. It doesn't do much damage and it's really punishable once you've jumped it. When I fight Scorpion players I don't often get my feathers too ruffled by Hellfire. Maybe I'm just not playing the right people. *shrugs*

Too bad theres only ~10 or >10 big boys in MK, rest are piggy-backed from SF/MvC.

Dont think you understand what Tom Brady was saying. Its true, the truth hurts, if you dont like it then do something about it. Spread competitive play and dont let mk piggy back from sf/mvc players. Listen to the stream and discussion before disagreeing.

I don't have a "big" problem with it, either, but he doesn't really need it and it's essentially a spam move. Jax's Ground Pound is a lead-in for combos and Nightwolf actually needs something to keep his opponent moving. The Hellfire doesn't lead into anything and he's got good arsenal for closing the gap, so it doesn't seem necessary.

And Tom Brady's a ****y, intolerant bastard, but he makes good points and is actually passionate about helping the MK tournament scene, so anyone who thinks his comments about piggy-backing are a bad thing missed the point.

Lol.. and throwing spears, shooting ice, breathing fire, or turning into a dragon is realistic? I'd say right now Street Fighters competitive scene is much more sophisticated and wide-spread than Mortal Kombats is... Your post spells fanboyism. I like both games, MK more so than SF, but when someone bashes a game just because its not their preferred game, then theres a problem.

This doesn't intimidate me at all, I don't drop mains because of nerfs; I can get use to finding ways around what was a disadvantage for the rest of the roster.

I personally think Scorpion has very poor recovery from his all of his specials, its only fair he keeps hellfire, it can be punished, VERY badly.

NR does listen to fans though and so it's really good to see they are addressing everything that needs to be and i agree with most of these updates. they're even planning on fixing training mode in a later patch.

Can you tell me what needs to be fixed in training mode? I'm seriously missing something.

in a fighting game you need the option to record the computers actions. You need to practice, to train a recorded string of combos/special moves/ect to learn to punish it.

If there was a match where you lost to a certain setup/mixup, you can recreate that same setup to learn how to punish it.

Right now all it has is the gimmick to record your own combos. What NRS dont know is you can do this with the cpu record function.

Let me know if you want me to elaborate.
 
Also the always block function is a bit buggy right now sometimes you can turn it on and after a few hits the CPU wont block even though its supposed to

Oh I get it. I should've known that it would be a problem. Cuz you can do recordings with the cpu in ssf4, I love that kind of feature in practice modes, I guess its going to be a must in every fighting game from now on.

What puzzles me is, how the heck you patch a training mode? I never heard of that lol. Theres no denying that this will satisfy a lot of us.

They need to fix Sheeva's 2,1,2,F+1 combo. The last hit is overhead yet randomly wiffs online and gets me punished when I should be making the hit. Actually there is another Sheeva glitch when she does her tele stomp. I get hit off screen when the opponent is on screen. That makes no sense. Kitana air shoulder hits me when I'm gone, and Kano's throw somehow knocked me down.


I don't like what they did with Kano's upball that move is ridiculously safe now and on top of his quick knife throw...come on.

Being able to record certain moves and practicing the exact timing with which I could counter them would help my game play a lot more than a fifth costume for Mileena.

lulz, not sure how to respond to this. If theres more people who thought this way then maybe they should have made Shaolin Monks 2 instead or just make those kinds of game in general.
