Character Pros and Cons

His ground hat is very useful lol.

It's better to use it for his 4,2 into low hat mix-up, His teleport is pretty bad also anyone can naked uppercut it on reaction.
 
Ok his regular ground hat does have good points. But the enhanced version is useless though.

Yea, but it's really situational though :laugh:

I used it to lock someone down in the corner before, I think you can combo off it if when it Anti Airs, but you have to be in the corner.
 
his b+3,3,3 enhanced hat toss is very very hard to do any tips cause it seems like it is a good thing to have in his arsenal when fighting.

I don't think it's worth spending the bar for man, Just use B+3,3 Spin, Jump Kick, Dive Kick into Spin again. Dash forward and start your pressure game or either back off if you think They're going to wake up with something punishable.

I rarely use B+3,3. :L
 
I found a nice trick a little while ago in a mach spin then teleport 4 I would like to do more with this trick because I think it could lead to a great combo. So any tips for the spin then teleport trick are helpful.
 
But you're knocking them away though, and they're to far away to follow up with a combo :(

However, I can see it being used to create space, and start playing keepaway.
 
I would like to try and add the move were he slams them with his fist after he teleports but it is hard to connect cause they are in the air.
 
thank you critical limit for that vid I didn't know you could do that with the ex ground hat. I find that if I use all of his specials and combs I do better and I win more has that happened to anyone?
 
I think the best way to win with any character is to understand the match up not just pros and cons of your character. The reason is because things change all the time ( like critical limit said ) and in order to win you need to know everything about your opponents potential so you will know what your options are against them.
 
the pros and cons can help those out there who are not sure what the best parts are or the wost parts are for the character plus it is fun when the actual player puts in his own view of what the pros and cons are.

pros: controls a large area of space, is relatively safe, solid zoning, okay mixups, free jip after 312, good pressure, fast meter building, ridiculously high damage, untechable knockdowns for 1 bar.

cons: Everything on wake is full punishable on block, his best zoning tool is punishable but it varies from distance and character, no armor, fastest punish is 10 frames.

Yes matchup information is just a deeper level of what the current thread is. I think of this thread as more of a general analysis.

And a place for people to correct/debate about a characters supposed cons/pros.

IF we were to do matchups we'd need a page for each character.

Someone tried to do a "TRMK tier list" by the community once and he just averaged everyone's score. to me that thread was almost pointless(with results but it did spark good converstion)

The problem with trying to do it all in 1 thread. The discussions would go on for a long time for 1 character. And by the time we get halfway through the matchups. More new stuff/meta-game changes for the old characters thus making everything chaotic.

so if we did a matchup thread, I'd advise brand new threads for each character.
 
Threads dedicated to match up information is the best way to go because just listing pro and cons of said characters as a general analysis leaves out to many variables. I'm NOT saying this thread is pointless but IMHO it's all about the match up information ( I agree that is a whole new can of worms. ) Making a tread dedicated match up chart for every character for debate is the best way to go. I hate tier lists because no one ever agrees with them (except the person who made the list ) but I do think it's a necessary evil.

I wish we could go into the gameplay threads of each character and update them with info without having the OP around. :(

I would like to do a character guide/game play thread but if i did then there would be people complaining that I created one asking why I created this when there already is one and that having another one is stupid or not worth it. so I guess that is why people don't create new threads for the characters.
but I might try to do one what do you guys think.
