Character Pros and Cons

When Kitana can't zone out her opponent her rush down comes into play, and her D+1 can duck under Baraka's spark.

I believe D+1 can interrupt Baraka's normal blade charge, once she gets in and start fan cutter pressure he's going to have a hard time getting out unless he spends meter.
 
His spark is just as fast, if not faster than her fans.
But it has to be timed.




Just trust me, I've faced my fair share of competant Kitanas.

Lol you don't use spark up close.
Plus Baraka's chop chop sucks in most normals.
Best for Mileenas who are too d4 happy.


Raka's d1 isn't as good as Kit's, but its damn close.
And seriously, good luck pressuring a good Raka.
 
Stryker pros:

-Mind games with gun-shot

-Gun-shot able to be canceled and can instantly-hit across the screen without being seen

-Harder character to predict since very unpopular

-High-damage X-ray combos

-X-ray is an anti-air


Cons:

-Slow start-ups

-Limited on mix-ups

-Baton sweep is pretty damn useless

-X-ray can really only be landed as an anti-air or in a combo

It's not that hard lol.

The only thing you have to worry about is his EX blade charge, and just bait the Chop Chop.

Sucks in normals at a distance, you can just Chop chop on reaction while Kitana is in mid string, if you mix-up your fan cutting pressure good enough all of his options are gone, unless he spends the bar to get space.
 
What Raka's have you been fighting?
Chop chop to stop pressure? Nah son.
D1 blade twirl and spin to get pressure off.

Blade twirl is -21 on block though, you're going to risk that? Lol

But Blade spin is Neutral on block so I could see that working, but I still think Kitana wins. TYM says it's 6.5 - 3.5 in Kitana's favor.

By blade twirl do you mean his 3 hit special since that is definitely not -21 on block.
 
I'm sorry but Baraka is one of the worst characters in the game at top level. It has been proven time and time again.
 
I've never cared about what TYM says.
Thats why I use Sektor instead of Cyrax and Baraka instead of Mileena
Its all about how you use them.

Raka may be 'the worst', but in a game as balanced as post patches MK9 that means nothing.

How many Rakas have you seen make Top 8 in a Major, post patch or Pre patch? I don't think he's the worst character, but he has more Cons than Pros against most of the Kast.

I occasionally use Baraka but I have to admit he's a low tier character, he has terrible matchups against even half decent zoners and and fast rushdown characters like Cage. Not to mention Baraka vs. Kabal is probably one of the top 5 worst matchups in the game.

MK9 is for the most part balanced but some characters, like Baraka, aren't too good. They can win of course but they have to win with less tools. VSM has two of the best Baraka players with probably the most match up experience against the best players in the entire world. they pretty much all agree that Baraka isn't that good. Like he's bottom 5 seems to be the general consensus.

It does mean something. It means he isn't as good as many of the other characters. It means he's at a natural disadvantage. He has way more cons than you listed.

I'm sorry but Kitana definitely beats Baraka.

No, its all about the player man. I already said, I don't care what top players say. I main Baraka and I make that shit work like a well oiled machine. Nothing VSM or some tier-whorez can say to stop it.

Wow okay. If it's all about the player then you should have listed back,back,back,low punch's pros and cons not Baraka's.

Your Baraka might be great. It might be able to beat any and every character I play or decide to play as. BUT...... When he's played to his full potential he's overall at a huge disadvantage compared to the other characters when they're played to their full potential.
