BF3 is gonna be the better game overall and is my style, i dont want a shoot'em up type of game i want a skilled/team based game. iwant to feel a sense of weight on my guns when i aim plus i want distructable enviroments. the spawning system in COD is messed up and having small maps doesnt help, cod is gonna be good but is an arcade game. the good thing about MW3 is that now theres a feature called KILL CONFIRM which means that after u kill ur target u have to pick up his dog tags which means "NO MORE CAMPERS" if all u did was camp in previous cod u are phuked lol.

TBH, I feel the COD franchise has been lacking in quality since MW2. They all look exactly the same and there's nothing new with the mechanics other than guns and perks. I'm only interested in MW3's Single Player.

okay so black opps didn't have the dolphin dive?! Also it doesn't need new mechanics it needs better multiplayer (more balance) . and all COD single player campaigns are freakishly easy.

honestly. i like CoD for it's single player. MW1 was the last good CoD multiplayer experience in my book. BF has good multiplayer (only if people cooperate) if you've got only Rambos on your team then it's not fun ^^ So CoD for singleplayer and BF for multiplayer.

BF3 Campaign and Multiplayer on separate discs. No matter to me, though

I don't have a problem swapping discs. Did it a few times for Dead Space 2, no biggy. I like how they did it though. One disc for single-player and another for multi-player. And my argument for BF3 is this. JETS. WE CAN PILOT F***ING JETS IN MULTIPLAYER. COD AIN'T GOT NOTHING ON BF3.

Quality > Quantity.

I'm buying both , also am I the only one who actually enjoys the COD campaign more than the actual multiplayer?

Btw. BF3 looks awesome cant wait to play it :D

People think MW3 is the same as MW2? Lol.

It's funny to me how people always specifically pick on MW3 for being "rehashed" or "too similar" to MW2, and hardly one ever goes into why it's the same or what they want to change...

BF3's campaign was boring and has nothing more to offer than AWESOME online ONLY multiplayer and co op.
MW's campaigns have always been thrilling rollercoaster rides, but imo their online multiplayer is boring and always suffers from frustrating lag so I have to put a whole clip in an opponent, while he needs one bullet coming out of his ass to drop me WTF and I'm NO bad FPS online gamer, that's all I'm saying. But however MW3 has a shitload to offer the OFFLINE multiplayer lovers LIKE ME!!!! Splitscreen, co op everything you can do online but offline, it's awesome so imo the CoD series wins. The day BF has OFFLINE multiplayer experience with AI bots and stuff like MW/CoD's Combat Training, I will never ever play another shooter again, online mp is so overrated and the home gamer of the I have flesh and blood people friends get shafted since the birth of next gen consoles, especially PS3 <-- bad ports and almost NO splitscreen shooters or shitcase scenario's like Unreal3 where they ditched the splitscreen option, FarCry 2/Crysis/Crysis2 <-- where's our map editor/splitscreen???

Anyways, to make it short --> MW3 wins the offline part, BF3 the online part :)

The games are so similar they didn't even change the title and menu screens.

The difference between Call of Duty and Battlefield is that Battlefield encourages teamwork. Call of Duty encourages you to jump off a bridge for XP, or take out an enemy sentry gun for a perk (which get this, can't happen unless you A. suck on purpose and hope one of their guys has one or B. toss YOUR sentry gun at them and hope they don't take out anyone on your team with it, AND that you're the one who takes the damn thing down). Teamwork versus deliberately losing and costing your team the match for your own personal benefit... gosh I can't think which one of those is more well thought out.

First MW3 dev- "For every 2 kills you get a new perk. Get a killstreak of 8 and you get every perk simultaneously. You become the superweapon."
Second dev- "It's the most balanced game ever."
Commenter- "I guess creating a class that everyone has to use in order to be competitive is one way of making a game balanced."

Call of Duty: Money Wasted 3 will surpass expectations and over-deliver just as well as MW2 did, i.e. not at all. Same typical CoD nonsense. IMO, Battlefield 3 wins on so many levels.

After playing a good number of hours playing BF3, I have to say it's the best, funnest multiplayer FPS I've ever played. This is just on another level from CoD. To be in intense dogfights in jets, then ejecting and parachuting down for some intense firefights, with the huge destructible environments, the scale is just mindblowing. I love this game. :)

I think by now most of us on here probably think little of COD by now, and see it as overated and a rehash

but as for the casual gamer, I'm pretty sure MW3 will still be played by the same people who bought MW2 and Black ops,and I dont think that's going to change. Here on a video game forum we have people who actually have a wide taste in games and are willing to give Battlefield 3 a try. But as for the people who only play Halo and COD, they will continue to buy MW3 and I have a bad feeling that Battlefield 3 will not be able to out-do it sales wise and wont be seen as groundbreaking to the mainstream.

but I may be wrong. Maybe this is the year where people finally stop being obsessed with it and Battlefield 3 takes over. Only time will tell. As for me, I'm not into modern military types of shooters. But I'd take Battlefield 3 anyday.

LOL, you probably liked the transformers movies too. The lack of 20,000 explosions is what makes the campaign in BF3 stand out. It's a shame it had to rip off EVERYTHING from the past 4 CoD campaigns though, which ironically ripped off some pretty lackluster films and shows.

Once again, you're a tool if you buy either of the games JUST for the single player.

Well, the Transformers movies weren't bad but a lil too kiddie imo, but don't call someone a tool cuz he likes SP over MP, that's just retarded and childish, but considering your age I can understand.
I'm from the past where online MP didn't exist on console's yet and THE reason to buy a game WAS the SP and still today the best games ever made are SP games only, (or they added some dumbass MP to please those online only weekend warriors.)
Don't get me wrong, I love online MP and I loved BFBC 1&2's campaigns f.i but BF3's campaign was like a wannabe CoD ride but failed and it looked like it was a showcase for their lighting engine (or what you call it) I'd rather have the online experience available OFFLINE too, with AI bots etc instead of a rushed lame campaign that's all.
MoH's campaign was GREAT, you noticed they put effort in the SP part.
In BF3's it feels rushed but everyone knows it's designed to be an online fragfest so it's acceptable.
CoD... delivers on all fronts (although I don't like the online MP... lack of vehicles) but hey I'm one of those tools that buy CoD for the amazing SP AND more important: THE OFFLINE MP possibilities since I have lots of flesh and blood friends that actually come over to have some MP fun.
Anyways gotta go now, could go on forever but nobody wants that so, l8er peeps.

BF3 is way more realistic and gets you all hyped up and excited. CoD just doesn't do that for me. I'm not even into FPS games that much but I did try BF2: BC and LOOOOOOOOOOVED it and BF3 makes me love the series even more

HOLY CRAP I ACTUALLY USED ENDING PUNCTUATION

... I'm not really into shooters anymore, but I still sort of stand by what I originally said. People shit on CoD so much for being rehashed yet they never go into what they want to change or what meaningful innovations they could really make at this point. Do you want them to change up the core gameplay? Maybe a new engine. What new elements and features do you think they should introduce? What older ones do you want to throw out? Instead of constantly bagging on CoD for it's lack of innovation, why not try to think of ways to breathe new life into it, ways that could help advance the gameplay of the series.

And for the record, I think that both of these games are good games
