BattleField 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

I really enjoyed both but as the main complaint goes with MW3, it looks too much like the same game along with having campers and glitches. I have a blast just blowing holes through buildings in battlefield along with driving vehicles and feeling like its a full scale war so I'm going with that. I really do want to see how MW3's story ends though cause the characters and cinematics were amazing.
 
Why cant you just like both? MW3 is more of an arcade shooter for when Im just feeling like Rambo. Battefield 3 is a tactical game for when I want to feel like a marine shouting out enemy locations and such. I for one will be getting and enjoying both very much
 
both, cod later and BF3 first.

The developers of cod show no intent to bring anything new to the franchise. If they could deliver a game that would deliver the same way Cod4 did to most FPSers, then I'd be in. Cod6 and Cod 7 are rehashes of the older cods. At least cod 5 had a different feel compared to the other ones.
 
Idk if anyone has seen this yet, but this trailer is amazing. I know it won't look as good on my xbox but still.....

 
Battlefield 3. I am sick of the same crap over and over with COD. Battlefield has always simulated war pretty well, Call of Duty is just an arcade shooter.

Off-Topic: Mass Effect 3 looks like a Gears of War clone now, PASS.

ON TOPIC: I always like cod better than BF because I love to get 6 kills and then slaughter everyone across the map in a chopper, not stand killing 1-2 enemies in 4 minutes of gameplay. But anyway, that's me.

They refine the shooting mechanics and it becomes a gears of war clone? Aside from being able to take cover, shoot, and roll out of cover how is it a clone? That was a very ignorant statement.
 
I'm presonally a fan of COD... But from what I've understanded by reviews, BF Is gonna be waaaay better than COD this time.
I'd probably buy both when they will get cheaper in some months..
 
i like battle field bad company 2 up until level 22 because i stopped unlocking things like i unlocked everything already whats my motivation now to keep ranking up
 
Im getting Dead Island when I get enough money for a new game, Borderlands+Zombies? Im there. I prefer COD because thats what my little brother buys, plus I love the story. I play online for laughs so I really dont care if Battlefields the better game, I just play COD for the heck of it.

Off topic: Mass Effect got worse after the first game IMO, it focused too much on the shooter aspect, so yeah ill pass on that one.
 
Does anyone know if BF3 and/or COD:MW3 will have a mode with bots? like COD:BO Combat training mode.

Well being able to jump roll like GOW and also being able to switch your camera from Shepard to an important event going on. Just look at the recent gameplay footage and look at GOW it's so similar.

This really needs to be it's own topic and I don't wanna derail this thread, so we need to continue this discussion in a separate thread.

BF3 I know for sure they will have bots, but I doubt that MW3 will have any but you can hope.
 
I pre-ordered BF3 and the guys at Gamestop said BF3 would be a lot better (opinion that I agree with) and that the average MW3 pre-orderer is either sub-high school age or a girl. I'm really excited for this and the gameplay is off the chain!

i feel the complete opposite. i mean i like gears of war and the new mechanics added to mass effect 3 are similar i feel mass effect 3 surpasses gears for one reason to me. the cover mechanics are the same but its the actually shooting thats the difference. gears of wars shooting feels clunky and inaccurate no matter what weapon im using. while mass effect 3 is presice and bullets actually go where i want them without having to send a whole clip and hope its a headshot like gears of war

oh and totally getting BF3. vehicles including jets again awesome. way better graphics and developers are actually trying to add new exciting ideas instead of CoD rehashing the same ideas for a decade

Glad to see most of u got the right idea.I will say COD one player is way better, but besides that its got jack shit on BF3.Ive played Battlefield since 1942 edition and that was when MOH was still popular.BF is just better in almost every way.And yes MW3 looks like MW2 or even MW1. Its like o its been almost a year lets throw together some stuff and rehash it so we can get another 60 from the consumer.Also COD always has those ten dollar map packs so u will spend like 100 dollars every COD game u get.Anywho ill rent MW3 to finish its awesome one player but 2 years down the road ill still be playing the same BF while u COD ppl buy another half ass game.
 
I'll be buying both, but I will definately be playing BF3 way more often. I was a huge fan of BF2 (felt more realistic than the Bad Company series), and now that they are bringing that to consoles I can't wait. A little disappointed but I heard the graphics are only 720 aswell as 24 players multiplayer which is a downside (64 on PC).
