No. All of that sounds like a terrible idea.

well ,DOA or Tekken would never work, but I see no problem with killer instinct and mortal kombat mixing

after all, Killer Instict was just a really good Mortal Kombat ripoff back in the day. And I'm glad it was made, it gave people another option besides SF and MK to play.

and Killer Instict and Mortal Kombat are the few fighters with more unique and bizzare characters. Most other fighters just have a shit ton of generic pretty boys in them. I'd love this crossover to happen, but the Rare we all once loved is now gone. Sadly this idea will never see the light of day, neither will KI3.

No. Just Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter. That crossover would be the best and that is the crossover lots of people been wanting for years.

just because fanboys want it to happen, that doesnt make it a good thing. MK and Street Fighter are nothing alike in my eyes. The crossover could happen, but one series has to be altered to fit the style of the other.

one way would be the Mortal Kombat characters would have to be toned down meaning less brutal and violent, and they would have to act more goofy and japanese in order to fit and for the game to ever happen

The other way (and this would never ever happen) is if the SF character would be styled like mortal kombat characters, with gory fatalities, and an overall more evil and darker feeling. Capcom wouldnt allow it.

So no, SF vs MK is a shitty idea IMO, just because they are big names, that doesnt automaticly mean they should ever cross

MK vs SF (ultimate and most-wanted crossover ever)
MK vs KOF / Fatal Fury
MK vs Tekken
MK vs Dragon Ball
MK vs Quake 3 Arena

^this Sky knows what's up! Only KI would work really really well with MK. Unfortunately if Rare is shut down then someone probably bought off their IPs and that could pose a big problem as far as getting character and title rights, etc. But damn would it be epic!

Well, you pretty much summed it up. I would like to see it happen but your right. One would have to be toned down and one would have to be toned up. Killer Instinct vs Mortal Kombat would be so sick though. I'd buy it on release. (Hell, I would pre-order)

Here's an epic MK game: a purely MK game. No crossovers, no guest character nonsense; just 100% MK.

We haven't had a 100% MK game since Armageddon.

Okay, MK vs KI could work, but just think about MK vs SF.

There would be two versions, MK vs SF (with MK9 engine, button layout, combos and fatalities) then SF vs MK which would probably have the 6 button layout, holding back for block, with a slightly more "anime" look to it.

Now both of those ideas sounds very interesting, cool and tons of potential with one exception.

Capcom would never allow, in a million years, to have their creations ripped too pieces via fatalities.

Yeah, it's sad that Capcom got so soft after Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, original SF2 and all his updates had brutality, faces of loosers were devastated as hell after beating and fighters were vomiting when kicked in stomach. Street Fighter Alpha has changed it.

SNK at least saved finishing moves in Samurai Showdown - the next good candidate to be cross-overed with MK.

ironically this is exactly my feelings on any of these cross overs/guest character requests lol

I have a strong hatred for fanboys and their charaacters, which Is why you will never see my praising Kratos. As he is the biggest example of a "Fanboy character". Same goes for master chief, which thank god they didnt put in. I dont like Freddy tin MK9, but he isnt annoying like kratos/chief as he never had loads of 12 year olds on the Gamefaqs forums constantly requesting him.

saying MK VS KI is not fanboyism would be biased and Hypocritical on my part.(because I love Killer Instict)
But, I still stand by this statement, I think it could actually work, If rare was still good, there would be nothing holding this idea back, as there hasnt been a KI game since 1996, all the fans would be adults, more reason why they would't have to worrk about accidently marketing to kids (unlike Street Fighter which is more kid friendly)

like me and others mentioned before, I'm pretty sure capcom wouldnt like their characters being mutilated (if Sony has problems with kratos on a few fatalities, then you can only imagine how capcom would react) but With Rare and KI characters, I really dont think ther would be any trouble. like I said there hasnt been a game in 14 years, and RARE would most likley be more happy to have their characters treated like MK characters, as they havnt done anything with them and they would finally make it big and return to the modern day with the help of MK
