All things Tanya! - Official Diskussion Thread

So what's the story on her eyes?

You'll find the answer in the video game: "Mortal Kombat: Sub-Zero Mythologies." It explains why she has white eyes and no pupils just like Scorpion. Their soul is taken, and where is the window to the soul? The eyes, because of the pupil, not the whites! Quan Chi has his because Shinnok spared his soul!

Brotherhood of Shadow:

1. Shinnok (Leader)
2. Quan Chi (2nd in charge)
3. Noob Saibot (slave)
4. Scorpion (slave)
5. Reiko (General)
6. Sareena (Queen)
7. Tanya (Oppurtunist)
8. Drahmin (Was a well placed disease)
9. Moloch (impressive guard)

There's no official explanation for the eyes, but I assume like Shang Tsung (who has opaque white eyes in every game but DA/MK9) it's because she uses ~black magic~*~

It's also possible it was meant to represent her joining the Brotherhood of the Shadow between MK4 and MKD.

Tanya is hard to use online because timing the teleports with this netcode is atrocious. I've seen quite a few of them, though, on PS4. And her usage stats are pretty impressive for a week in (4 mil).

Tanya is so much fun, but jesus christ she is impossible to use online. I've never used a character whose inputs got eaten so regularly. I can land her combos flawlessly offline, but online either her teleport or her d2 don't come out. Happens probably 60% of the time. I even go back to watch the replay and it shows my inputs on the screen being correct. This lag is monstrous man.

I hate online, with a passion. It's sad that the game has no replay value at all other than playing online.

The Krypt was a bust, ALL of the Offline modes other than versus were trash as well. I don't bother playing the living towers because they're boring, beating up on the AI for Koins that mean nothing because you can opt out to buy the entire Krypt for cash.

That's like saying there was no point in getting unlocks in Battlefield 3 cause you could buy the unlock packs.

Or earning money in GTAO is pointless cause you can buy a cash card.

That's exactly my point, the option is there so there's no real reason to if you're willing to buy it all.

At least, it doesn't motivate me to do so.

But I'm not willing, and I'm pretty sure you're not either or you would have already :p

Well duh, because I don't care about the Krypt unlocks. I've bought a total of 5 things from the Krypt and they've all related to Mileena, Sub-Zero, or Scorpion.

I'm just simply saying the option is there so If I did want to unlock them all it's just a small sliver out of my paycheck every 2 weeks.

The price doesn't really matter, it's that if you opt to by the krypt, you're butchering a chance at replay-ability.

I'm speaking from my personal opinion though, dude. Plus, even if you spent time trying to unlock everything, you can only play the same towers over and over for so long. There's really nothing new about each premier tower other than the Tower's name and opponents faced against and even that's half assed. They could've included NPC's from the story that belonged in each tower and at least had Shinnok as the MK4 tower boss (Which he wasn't).

I don't bother playing the living towers because they're boring, beating up on the AI for Koins that mean nothing because you can opt out to buy the entire Krypt for cash.

I don't enjoy playing the offline modes, I only enjoying playing against real players and people who actually try to play the game at a decent level. It sucks that I, and other people who play the game solely for that purpose have to put up with a shitty online experience where all of the replay-value resides. It makes me salty thinking about the shit because on stream they said "Go hardwire" which basically mean't "Deal with it", and it felt like a big funk you.

Who else thinks this is the real life Tanya??

While doing a little *cough* research I came across a video of a woman who I think strongly resembles Tanya in both looks and demeanor. See for yourself:

Do you guys agree? Oh and her name is [redacted] ... for anyone wanting to conduct a little research of their own.
