With Jax & Sub-Zero revived along with Scorpion, only Liu Kang, Kitana & the others remain in hell after Shinnok's and Quan Chi's demise.

Liu & Kitana now rule the Netherrealm... but I'm sad to see them live like this.

Will some come back to life for real next game?

I don't care because if they are playable they look normal in fights and that's what matters.

I want Liu Kang to stay evil for a long while. He's more interesting as a bad guy than he is as a good guy, and I'm down with him being a jerk throughout the entire PS4 era to really cement this as his new identity.

Kitana is the only one I think needs to come back. MK9 Kitana was basically a crappy version of Talisa Soto, and MKX Kitana was MKX Liu Kang/Kung Lao lite. I'd like to see her become the princess she was always meant to be, and I don't think Dark Empress will scratch that particular itch.

Why isn't there a "None" option in the poll? I don't wish for any of them to return as non-revenants, but rather have the story become more elaborate about their rule of the Netherrealm. Have them return as playable, sure, but stay as revenants.

The only ones that should return are Liu Kang and Kitana for obvious reasons. One that I would like to see is Sindel but it's highly unlikely. And I don't want the others to return. The only thing I'll accept for a return with all of them is if they're just NPCs like they were in X.

As much as I love the series, I would like another new batch of characters. We don't need to constantly repeat the roster.

It's not a question of if, but when they get restored. But the aftermath of being a revenant should stay with them for the rest of their lives, which would open up new storylines in their character arcs, like Kung Lao leaving the shaolin and becoming a demon hunter driven by his own personal guilt or Kitana being so distraught over being a revenant for 25+ years that she contemplates (or even attempts) suicide. That would be some deep shiyt.

Anyways, I think the 2 mentioned above plus Nightwolf and Stryker should become human again. Kabal and Smoke should stay as revenants because I feel that it suits them best, Sindel should be revived too but should then sacrifice herself to free some of the others, Liu Kang and Raiden however...my gut tells me that they'll probably kill each other in the end of story mode.

Jade must've been brought back to life by someone in secret.

The only revenants that I could see brought back for the next game are....:
- Kitana
- Kung Lao
- Nightwolf
- Stryker
&
- Liu Kang (later in the end and Noob can take the throne at last)

They should swap out some of the MKX dead for the MK9 dead (IMO), that way those slots get used up but you also don't take away potential slots for new MK11 characters.
Still in their dead state, though, but just playable.
Let Quan Chi, Baraka and Mileena stay dead for a game and let Shinnok stay incapacitated for a game.
Swap out those 4 characters with either Smoke, Kabal, Shang Tsung, Ketchup or Mustard for MK11.
Let Sonya, Johnny and Jax be cameos only in the next game, as well. :-D

This would let the people who didn't get those characters in MKX get them in MK11, while at the same time leaving plenty of space for Kotal Kahn, D'Vorah, Cassie, Jacqui, Kung Jin, Takeda, Ferra Torr and Erron Black, as well as allowing space for 3 or 4 more new characters.
12 total post-MK9 new characters (8 from MKX and 4 from MK11) would be awesome, imo.

Any of the undead can come back at any time as long as it's less than half of them and they ALL should back for at least one more game.
If you're talking about back to human, none of them. No more reckoning. No more cheap restorations (a healing shockwave? really? and how is Raiden able to use his powers in the Netherealm in the first place if he can't even use them in Outworld?). I want them to continue the story as if it were a real story rather than treating it like a story arc of "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni."

Cassie seems to fight a bit like Stryker with the guns. And since the next game will feel a little... "Deadly Alliance"

The only revenants I can see returning back to life in the next game are....
- Kung Lao
- Kitana
- Kabal: Mavado now dead.
- Nightwolf
&
- Liu Kang: Noob Saibot will take over the throne next game.

To continue the Story Line... Yes they should come back...

Liu Kang and Kitana at Rulers of the Netherrealm
And all the remaining Revenants are there enforcers that lead the Netherrealm army plotting their strike.

Some would be killed off, some would remain revenants and some would get revived into their human selves again.

As long as Shinnok Kabal and Quan Chi can come back in a future MK game ill be happy. I think Kabal should be a playable revenant in the next game. Hopefully they do something about Raiden

The poll is flawed for having no 'None of them' option, but I went with Nightwolf because he's one cool cat, and I like the idea of some crazy Indian shaman stuff being able to bring him back. He was a good sidekick for Raiden.

I'm usually one of those fans who think that death is good and the old characters need to step aside, but after the reveals of Tekkwn 7 and SFV I realized how much of a hypocrite that makes me. Because I am anxiously awaiting and hoping to see the return of Sagat. I couldn't care less about them making any new characters, I just want to see my favorites.

And as for Tekken, I honestly wish they'd stop making new characters all together. Because every one since T6 has been horrible. I've been a huge fan ever since 2 and have owned every game since. But if they were to ever make a Tekken without King I wouldn't even give it a second look. So I can understand the people who clamor for Liu Kang and Kitana game after game, as much as it frustrates me as a fan of the lore
