Don't understand why everyone's so pissed about this. It was a great surprise. I don't like any of the MK characters that are left who didn't make the cut. That's just how I feel about it, I know they have some fans out there for sure, but I feel that MK already has the best characters the franchise has to offer, so a guest like Freddy is refreshing imo.

- yeah, indeed, NRS is threatening to do not more DLC, even more if they feel the negative impact , negative feedback, that Freddy release just caused ..... it's up to the fans show that, in fact, this little addition doesn't affect the game negatively, and, it's welcome as fun extra option. Maybe NRS really is not planning nothing for some months, but, if ALL DLCs sell well, they are not stupid, they will come back with new ideas, because, in the end, it's all about money ...... hehe XD

- NRS, in fact, was cool with the fans giving us Skarlet (an old desirable request from some fans), Kenshi (one of the best post UMK3 character), and Rain (the most requested ever, overall) ..... so, when they decided to put something different, another guest character, suddenly , we turn our back to NRS, swearing offenses and wishing them to burn in hell ? lol, after all they did in this game, looks like a very ungrateful response we give back, hum ? :D
 
Yep, i feel sorry for what i said the first moment when i saw it's Freddy. I really feel sorry for my offensive words. Thinking more, i must agree, Freddy is funny, and his appearence is much better than any on post-UMK3 kombatants. And very big thanks for unmasked Sub. Boon and NRS are cool, they give us a really cool stuff.

For me it's all about how fun a character is to play. I wouldn't have cared if they added Betty White in an adult diaper as the 4th DLC character so long as the character has great special's/combo's and is fun to play. Hell Reiko is one of my fav characters and I'll be the first to tell you his design and story suck. He's just has sick specials that set him up for great combo's which makes him one of my favorite characters to play.

You can troll the forums and start useless petitions and talk about how this moment will define your life's lowest point but honestly you just need to relax. If you don't want to play him, don't play him, but more importantly don't whine about how this is the worst thing ever.

This. To infinity. Unfortunately, I think our words fall on deaf ears. Ah well, at least I will still enjoy playing MK, no matter what happens next.

People are overdoing negative reaction ..... Tekken has a kangaroo as one of the best character !! Did you noticed that ? What about Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe and Arthur in MVC 3 ? Damn it, even Amaterasu, a ****ing dog, is there and people are not slitting their wrists because of that , lol !!

So, when NRS decided to put an icon terror with a lot of fan base, we start to cry , moaning as ****ing spoiled babies, because our MK cannot have a guest character, who does not influence nothing in Story Mode, and it's only an extra addition to be played in ladder or online.

Let's grow up, fellows.

I just don't approve of the idea. I think it's a stupid marketing ploy and he doesn't deserve to be in MK9. Kratos didn't fit either. It's not really original and it's already stale to me. You have your opinion which you are entitled to and I have mine. Most people are over reacting but I hate the idea.
 
well, so, the question is pretty simple : now, after the "storm", NRS and Ed will analyze numbers, to see the profit these DLCs made it ..... and report directly to WB ...... the final results.

If the results don't match/reach the simulated sales numbers that they probably have planned, and tried to foresee, so, we all can say goodbye for future DLC ...... simple like that

But, if until Freddy is released, if someone that, just bought just one or 2 characters, just , buy all 3, and, buying Freddy, that will sure increase A LOT the current DLCs sales numbers, and , NRS will have information about that ..... having incentive to plan future DLC for then end of year, or beggining of 2012 ....

It's up to the so called "MK fans" to nail the question, or just bury any possibility for future DLC ......
