Great idea. I do it because I feel liberated. It is the one thing that I can do where I'm not incredibly analytical and overly meticulous. My family owned a chain of restaurants in NYC during the 80s and 90s and I inherited some of that knowledge. My favorite things to cook are meats, pasta and seafood. Only recently have I started venturing into Indian Cuisine. I love Chinese food, but I fear that if I cook it, I'll ruin it for myself.
