PS3/X360 versions - do they even exist?!

At this stage, I couldn't be more thankful for my lady buying me an Xbox One at the end of last summer. I was honestly considering getting this game for previous gen before she got it for me.

I wish I had a lady like that... just to buy me things, though. I have no other use for women than their money.

I really do feel bad for those who still haven't gotten the game yet. Good thing I've bought the X-Box One last year during the beginning of Spring, cuz I would be extremely pissed off if they still haven't released the game for the previous game console.

I actually am living well without it, all things considered.

Since I have been busy with music, vinyl records and, most of all, my girl recovering from gallbladder removal surgery, I didn't give my PS3 many spins in these last few weeks... But yup, I still would like to play MKX.

I was going to buy it for last gen too, but then I got a ton of money back from doing my taxes this year. I felt like it was a sign for me to buy a PS4. I was so lucky!

Sooooo, any news at all with the 'progress' of the last gen versions?

I saw Mr Ice posted a downgraded pic of Revenant Sub-Zero from the Johnny Cage Chapter in the media thread, is that the downgrade we are to expect? I remember how bad the vita was graphically but still smooth & fun and while it is quite a downgrade from the next gen I'd be fine with it if the gameplay and content is still intact. I still remember the SNES version of MK2 and it was a 'downgrade' from the arcade version but still one of my favourite games of all time. It pretty much feels like the same thing here...except the arcade now is next gen and SNES is now last gen...

Yeah, it's neither denied nor confirmed. Could be for the 360/PS3 could be a 'well made fake' either way it at least gives an idea of what the downgrade 'could' look like.

I think the long wait for the PS3 and 360 versions could be that they want to make sure the game won't be a buggy mess. Look at Shadow of Mordor on the last gen systems. Shadow of Mordor for PS3 was a total train wreck with frame rate issues, sound stuttering, lag, freezing, and glitches galore. If fans want a good port of a current gen game then it's going to take a lot of time.

If a game was meant for PC and next-gen consoles then it's going to be harder to run on 10 year old hardware. It would be like if they try to put Skyrim on the PS2 or Doom 3 to the PlayStation 1. The gap for 7th gen and 8th gen is pretty big if you ask me seeing that PS3 and Xbox 360 has RAM: 512 MB while the PS4 and Xbox One has RAM: 8 GB.

I have both versions of this game (one on PS3 and the other on PS4). The PS4 hardware is insanely better than the PS3's, for sure, but what game is considered to use the PS3's maximum capabilities?

I just have lost faith, they have been silent about it for quite some time now, there has been no mention at E3 except for backwards compatibility for 'selected' 360 games on Xbone, Ed Boon made a kryptic tweet about MK9 on Xbone but no mention of MKX on last gen, every single post in regards to the last gen version on the wbgames, Mortal Kombat x and even high voltage's FB pages are ignored and now there are rumours that high voltage have been fired from the PC port. Hey it could all be bullcrap and they actually are working hard on the last gen version or better yet a 'Komplete Edition' but the realist in me keeps joining the dots and seeing cancellation.

If there is any positive right now it's that when I do eventually take the plunge and buy a next gen, my daughter 'may' be able to play her games at least.
