You mean that brief appearance seen from far, far away (they didn't even bother making you take a good look at him)? OK. But not the same as creating a quality model for an important character and using it in a meaningful appearance.

Plus, people could live without Motaro (I wish they could make him work in newer games, but seems like they don't care about making it happen). Try using that when a full sculpted model of Sonya Blade appears in MK X's story mode and people don't get to play as her.

I'll accept that - I didn't play Mk vs DC so I didn't know about it. I ain't a fan of that stuff (not even of the old fan idea of a MK vs SF).

But, still, as you said, he was planned as DLC... I agree with it if they plan the same for MKX story mode characters.

Besides, creating a concept and model for a character is much easier than creating a fully fledged playable character, where they have to create all the moves and animations for the character, fatalities and now intro dialogues, and also worry about balancing with the rest of the roster.

I think it would be nice to get some characters at least in the story if they don't get a roster spot.
 
You have a point. We shall see. I still am betting on Sonya, Cage and Jax being playable, though. From WB Brazil's video it's clear that Cassie has some sort of dialogue with Jax that may happen after a fight or before it, whatever the context is ("What's wrong, uncle Jax? Is there something wrong with your joints?" - in a voice tone that isn't worried, but making fun out of him). If they're going through the trouble of making you fight these characters in story mode, I'm sure that they'll go the next step and finish the models to have 'em be playable. Or they'll be DLC (OK as long as they bring other characters too and don't limit it to 4 or 5 uninteresting ones).

But YES, I would LOVE for these characters to be story mode-only and have others in the in-game roster instead of them.

Tanya should be much like Gotham's Fish Mooney! Perfect personality and style for her.

I hope Jax doesn't waste much pages of the comic books for me, really didn't like seeing him teach his daughter to kickbox in one picture, hope that doesn't get too much air, unless it shows us that Jax dies and that Jax in those leaked pictures are actually just Tower-quests.

Speaking of issues. So i just reread both Issues 1 & 2 (Chapter 1-7)! This isn't a complaint just something i noticed and felt! When the comic 1st came out it seem to hit everyone with Shock and Awe which was awesome. The later issues seemed more toned down and focused on back story which im totally fine with. I think i was just expecting more blood and guts (which we have had) as the issue progressed.

Anyone else get what im saying or felt that way.

Once again im not complaining, its just that the chapters have taken PLEASANT approach. making characters more rich and having you get attached. I was just expecting alot of deaths and not much of a story. Glad its not!!!!

Yep. As far as weekly comics go, this is turning into a fantastic one. Meaningful character development, plenty of fan-service, zero filler, none of the characters acting like idiots... that's basically as good as it gets.

Shawn seem to favorite tweet of someone asking about Onaga and Shujinko in the comic. That makes me wonder if we will see those two soon.
 
If the latest leaked roster is true, then I wished Kittelsen was Boon.

Kittselsen is much better with stories and characters than Boon ever will be.

Can anybody ask him if Tanya will be in the comic?

Baraka + Rain soon is very good news!

I think i'm gonna be a fan of the comic, and pass on MKX.
