Does Jade have no fans?

i like jade but the thing is that since this is a game about the next generation why didnt they at least take advantage of her weapon to kreate a new kharacter?.
they should have introduced a new male fighter with a similar weapon but like bladed at the ends. that would be a good way to give a nod to her instead of just one variation.

I was never a fan of Jade since I don't think she never had any major impact on the story. Her chapter in MK9 was boring filler and the story would be no different if you remove that chapter. Havik was not deconfirmed since it sound like a joke comment when he was brought up.

Agreed.

While i do like Jade, i dont like Kitana having Jade's moves. uhgg!!
It screams laziness to me that NRS could not create NEW ways for Kitana to uses Jades weapons if they were to go the tribute route.

Disagreed, fully. I think it's a great idea. Hell, I thought it'd be a way to keep both Jade and Kitana fans happy. I saw Boon respond to a tweet from a fan today saying that they weren't going to buy the game because Jade isn't in it. IMO fans like that make us all look bad. Like whiny babies throwing a temper tantrum for no reason

Jade was my goto character in MK9 for expert and ranked, I got really good and had several hard hitting combos with her. She was also one of my Favorites in Trilogy, for her moves and speed. I like her, but I won't lose sleep over her. Story wise she kinda reminded me of a female reptile, a henchman backup role. I do hope kitanas 3rd varation has some of the speed and combo setups jade did in 9 though. I watched the stream, but they didn't go in more then just staff moves.

Of the females, I think I like Jade the most.

But it was for the sake of whatever amazing story they are writing.

She will be back. Besides the fact that character on her MK9 ending.

We can't expect her on every game, she may not be on MKX, but on future games, she may be.

I sure hope not. The series needs to move on.

Good.
If they're not buying the game just because of 1 character not making it in, then they're not real MK fans, in the first place.

This shit makes me sick. I would like to meet that user in person so I could sock him right in the face.

I hate "fans" who worship characters like this. Subsequently I hate threads that pop up on this site with subject matter such as "WHY DOES NO ONE LIKE THIS CHARACTER".

Agreed. Good riddance.

Same here. It's stupid as all hell. I really hope they don't cave to this sort of bulls*** pressure from "fans"

It's even more frustrating considering they clearly tried to appease both Jade and Kitana fans. But nahh, what they did is 'lazy' and not good enough.

I like Jade a lot. I was hoping she could probably be DLC. They already ruled that out. They likely killed her off for good. I don't see her returning for MK11.

I don't see a problem with Jade being left behind. So what? Yeah, I kinda like her, but homage through Kitana is good enough imho and we will probably learn about it in the Story. Plus she's not essential to MKX anyway, not to mention being dead. 3 zombies will be more than enough.

As for Havik, quite the contrary. The stream pretty much confirmed him.

i could never really get hooked on jades moves with her staff which is a shame since im into martial arts Bo staff and prefer using female fighters in games so she should be one of my favourates but i dont use her much at all.

i think all jades staff moves were pretty boring and generic. also the staff moves we saw kitana do in that last video were not that exiting either they just pasted jades old moves over without really developing on it at all :/ im also not a fan of the staff design being a little baton attached to her hip. id rather see a full staff that goes on her back

staffs can be sneaky little things i was hoping for some good low trip up moves with the staff, or a palm spin above the head like a helecopter to punish jumpers. theres so much potential with a bo staff in a fighting game and theres so many great things you can do with them that look visually impressive that could also be adapted into deadly moves for a game like this. i feel this variation went to waste
it would be really worth while for NRS to hire a expert bo staff handler to get some really creative bo staff moves and combo ideas going but ... :/

i apologize to NRS for my negativity regarding this variation but i just really love me some Bo staff and was left unsatisfied and unimpressed. sorry

Sadly, they already have given in to the bullshit pressure from the fans.
Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Quan Chi, Kano, Kitana, Kung Lao, Reptile, Ermac, Goro.
Plus, Sonya, Johnny, Liu Kang, Mileena and Jax are rumored to also be in.

In my opinion, I think Jade was very interesting when she was first introduced in the series. She was this secret character who was lurking in the forest and can only be accessible if you achieve a certain feat. Yes, she was using Kitana's fans in MKII, but the process alone of being able to fight her made her cool in my eyes. Ever since then her popularity was on par, if not, relatively close with the other female ninjas when she was introduced in trilogy with a completely different moveset that set her aside from the other two.

Her popularity waned when she was "forgotten" in the games that followed and Deception sort of reintroduced her again. She looked great and her rivalry with Tanya made perfect sense, but NRS decided to drop the ball on her completely when she was again made Kitana's follower in MK9. They could've made her branch out on her own this time with the new timeline but nope, NRS did not bother to get creative with her character. I hope that her arcade ending though is an indication of a glimmering future for her when she returns in the future installment. If that is the case, then we'll probably get to finally see Jade as her own character other than someone's shadow, which is ironic because that's what she is, a shadowy ninja.

Jade was my 2nd main in MK9 so I was a definitely a fan of hers. However, I will admit that her character isn't important at all to the overall story. She was nothing more than a glorified bodyguard. How Kitana deals with Jade's death in MKX is actually the most intriguing thing Jade has ever been a part of.

Move on doesn't need to erase the past, we are already moving on. And her ending surely meant something, even if she is out now.

No, it does mean it needs to erase the past. She and 99% of all of the non-immortal characters need to go away. The need to be phased out and never brought back.

MK needs to stay connected to its past to show off how long it's been around.

I'm a Jade fan, obviously. I've always thought that out of all of the female ninjas, she easily had the coolest move set. She's always had a great look as well, IMO. I'm fine with her being left out of MKX, though. Love the idea behind Kitana paying homage to her close friend.
