SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Kotal is not a real bad guy. He is actually trying to do good. I think I may like using him in the game. I'm interested in seeing how reptile and Dev orah join him. Now it seems like he was telling Sonya the truth, he really wants her help.

If there's no mask, why is his face a different shade of green?

I have a very simple reason as to why Reptile might be a different shade in the Comic in Raiden's Vision!
*Maybe it was the time of day or his position and the sun was reflecting off of him making him appear lighter.

At least thats what i would like to think. Simple and to the point!

First Baraka, then Reptile (as implied in the non-canon MKSM), then Reiko, and now Goro?!

All you people ripping me for calling Mileena a slut can eat your crow, because this clearly shows that Mileena is DEFINITELY a slut!

I still think he is somewhat a bad guy judging by the Raiden trailer with the Ed Boon commentary.

I don't think that has any importance. Every character is going to have something mean to say to the other. I mean, they're about to fight. They aren't going to say anything nice, since they're about to kill each other. Also, I don't think anyone is going to have anything good to say to Raiden anyways. You know, since he's screwing everything up.

Why? The dialogue itself isn't any more diabolical than what Raiden and Kung Lao say to each other. It's just cheeky banter between two people who are about to clean each others clocks.

Is it because he sounds evil? I think that's part of the twist. His voice sounds like it would belong to a villain, but it doesn't (apparently).

I can't wait to read the next 10 pages. I'm interested in seeing if kotal eventually does join Raiden and fugin.

Favorite part in this Comic:

Spoiler:
Kotal is like F your Helm Dad! I got my own! And then he take a jab at his dad saying he'll NEVER surrender it

So when Kotal left Earthrealm and went to Outworld he was there like 30 seconds, 2 minutes tops, but when he returns to Earthrealm everyone in the tribe is sick or dead so... what happened? Is time the price for passing through the portal or time in Outworld passes at a slower rate?

Diseases contracted through consuming blood.

Eh it's not like she's sleeping with any of them. Also people were joking Reiko and Mileena aren't a thing.

i dunno that page of the comic where raiden is shouting "It Has Begun!" clearly shows Reiko holding Mileena's belly maybe she's carrying his little effed up kid??

I chalk that up to the comic's awful job of showing how much time has passed. How long did Kotal wander Earth for? It was enough for him, long-lived though he is, to mature from a chil How long did he rule over the Mayans/Aztecs for? He's been around since at least the 1700s, so we could be dealing with a 15-year time frame or a 150 year time frame. Who the eff knows?

Same goes for him being gone "for 30 seconds." Maybe the stone didn't take him directly back to his tribe and he had to walk halfway across the world (no planes, trains, and automobiles!). Maybe he was back in Outworld a lot longer than the comic made it seem. Maybe the stone steals time from the user, as you suggest, or time passes at a different rate in his part of Outworld than it does on Earth.

The clear implication is "enough time passed for this to be possible." But how precisely is anyone's guess.

[...] He's been around since at least the 1700s[...]

No way. Columbus arrived on America on 1492.

That is 16th century, when the first explorers came.

In 1504, Cortés arrived. Brazil was reached by Cabral on 1500, though unnoficial reports confirm other people here before.

1518 Cortés arrived on Mexico.

By 1540 spanish explorers have reported civilizations on Amazonia (what Kotal reported).

That is early 16th centry, way far from 1700's.

I said "at least!"
