SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Im interested in learning how Sonya and Cage got together in the first place. I mean, were they married or was Cassie an accident after a one night thing? From the comic it seemed like Sonya and Cage arent together and Cassie's attitude certainly seems like she favors one parent over the other.

I stopped liking him after MK4. And even in that game, he was taking some heavy undeserving blows from Midway/Netherrealm.

I've been slowly dying inside since they gave him the purple parachute pants. The masked ninja from the comic, who I'm hoping is a look at Reptile, is pretty much everything I've wanted out of a re-design for his visual appearance. I don't care that he'll never be NRS' favorite, but he's the most drastically changed of the original ninja trio and I just want something more in line with them. I can handle scales and reptilian features behind the mask, but I'd ultimately love it for some sort of tunic and legitimate "ninja" mask, even if it is my own nostalgia for design burdens from the 1990s.

If Quan Chi can have the same look for the last four games, give or take some spikes, I just want my guy to not look like a complete shell of what they could be.

...Story-wise, we don't have enough time in the day. I've accepted that he's a role player at best. :)

Hmm, in the first few panels of this issue, Raiden says 'Earthrealm and Outworld are falling into chaos.' This might be a stretch, but the comic has been putting character names and important plot elements in bold. Do we think this this could be a hint about Havik?

Isn't Cassie already in the Special Forces, under Sonya?
In the comics it says that Cassie escaped to Johnny's condo.
Cassie also said that if she was with Sonya, that Sonya would have her doing workouts.
Seems to me like Sonya already IS training Cassie.
 
And they are doing one hell of a job :laugh:

She and Jacqui are for sure trained (Jacqui on the flashback with Jax).

Cassie must be trained by Sonya AND Johnny.

Don't you think that Johnny wouldn't show her some moves, right? That's why she shares some moves with them.

Only Johnny could teach her the shadow kick. But she didn't learn at all!

I was actually considering that same thing. Havoc would be an awesome character to bring back. Especially as some blood last, demon form.

I've been seeing Havik hints for a while. Like, how would Raiden have the ORDERREALM kamidogu in the first place?
I'm sure Havik will be back and be slightly important.

Sonya may be training her on base, but I doubt that Cassie is Special Forces already if she was too young to get into the club.
 
Sonya looks great, can't wait to see Johnny. Thought it was hilarious Johnny got a "Blueberry" award for Ninja Mime.

I don't know why it still surprise/bother me to find out people were brought back from the "dead". I guess I just want to know how. And if some made it back why not all of them too? Maybe everyone did come back, but clearly Shao Kahn is not active, so why some but not others.

Shao Kahn's soul was never under Quan Chi's control.

I was thinking about this... I get a feeling everyone was brought back from the dead, but this "demon" might do some damage and for that reason we won't see certain characters.
 
It will probably be something incredibly lazy like Raiden uses some special magic to make Kitana and Kung Lao come back to life because he needs them

I don't think so. (or hope so).

I mean let's look at this. Basically there was Netherrealm war almost immediately after MK9 events. One of the main bad guys is Shinnok. This also concerns Elder Gods. So Raiden most likely took Earthrealm warrior souls from Quan Chi's control (by killing him or incapacitating him) and then asked Elder Gods to resurrect them so they could help in the war against Shinnok.

They could do something similar from MKD where Ermac helps out Raiden get everyone free from Quan Chi's control. Ermac in the original timeline was able to help Liu Kang get everyone free from Onaga's control.

Well, mk9 was all about trying to erase shao Khan of the map... not just killing him, because in raiden visions, he discovered the death is totally useless and anyone can return at any time.... so I don't know if that can finally answer your and everyone's questions about the death in mk...
I mean, in mk, the death is just like a travel to the netherrealm, you know the only condition to abandon that place is purifying your soul or someone bringing you back... that's why i was never surprised by the returning death ones, I even expected them...
The difference with shao Khan was that raiden put all his efforts to eradicate him forever, and the death in this game means nothing, so raiden seeked a real solution, which was that divine punish... However i won't be surprised if shao returns because he's a fan favorite, but that will be illogic, a shock and a lack of sense for the game... while the return of any of the fallen warriors is totally perfect and normal, but some people doesn't want to realize that....
 
Is anyone else having trouble with getting the comic on the DC Comics app? I can't even find issues 2-4. I really want to read issue 4.
