this is the thread dedicated to all characters from movies comics tv shows and games that you like who seem to always get the short end of the stick regardless of whether they deserved it or not.

i'll start it off

Reptile(mortal kombat): as the main reason for secret characters you expect someone like reptile to get a little recognition i mean after all he wasn't easy to reach let alone fight. but as the series progressed he seemed to get screwed over more than any other character getting his ass beaten by everyone especially in mk4 since he was the only character to get killed in his own ending (despite succeeding). in addition to his motives (which is to simply get his race, the saurians back) i can't help but feel pity for this guy.

Roadkill(twisted metal black): in TMB everyone was batshit crazy John doe, the driver of roadkill was probably the most sane of the lot. the only major problem with him was the amnesia he had hell the only thing he wanted from the tournament was to remember who he is but he gets an additional reward for his troubles as well despite nearly everyone else in the game

Tom(Tom and jerry): do i really need to explain........

Baraka. He dies in everything, and obviously Kenny from South Park. Baraka also died in his MK4 ending.
 
Stryker : he's never in an MK game and when he is he dies

Johnny Bravo: all he ever wanted to find was love and no chick ever gave him a chance that lasted a genuine amount of time

Allen Ridgeley from Xenosaga I, II & III. He only becomes playable in the final game despite being almost as important as the main character (Shion, who is oblivious to his feelings for her, constantly), but always gets shafted despite being a really decent human being. Sure, he got the girl in the end--Shion, of course--but really only because the writers had to finish the series early.

Okay, before you go "Shut up, Frey, don't be stupid!", hear me out, lol. Yes, he got his own game, but before that he was only ever seen in flashbacks, and even when he GOT his own game, he still gets a brutal death in the end, the girl he likes forgets him for the most part, and the girl that liked HIM a lot (Cissnei <3) doesn't even get the chance to say it because her colleagues are in the middle of--you guessed it--brutally murdering him. In the end, he gets a dog's death, and doesn't really accomplish a whole lot of anything, despite being 100% more interesting than that bowl of room-temperature oatmeal everyone faps to, Cloud Strife. Zack Fair is THE video game loser.

Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory too, he's a genius! And yet no one actually realizes it.
 
Jin Kazama. Mother supposedly gets killed by ancient demon. Goes to live with grandfather who only needs him to get said demon's DNA. When he defeats demon, he gets thanked by getting shot by grandfather's bodyguards. Grandfather then shoots him IN THE ****ING HEAD (point blank, mind you)! This causes him to activate Devil Gene which he got from psychotic dead father. Since he can't control it, he has to pull a 180 in personality and stay recluse and alienate everyone he knows. Dead father comes back from the dead and wants to kill him. Grandfather wants to kill him. Fights great-grandfather and inherits family company. Hears of a demon that originated the devil gene and only way to lure demon out is if world is in turmoil, so he declares war on the world! He gets to lure the demon out but fails to kill him and when his body is discovered he still has the devil gene tattoo. SO his plan failed and the world thinks he's an evil douchebag while they think his father is the savior of the world.

TL;DR Jin has had a ****ed up life.
 
when i really think about it now everyone in mk9 got screwed over badly

bad guys get beaten down by the good guys

98% of the good guys get killed by a milf in the most anticlimatic way possible

said milf is basically reduced to a cheap plot device and is killed herself

the only one in this game who wasn't screwed over is Quan Chi since he reaped the rewards and has all of the good guys' souls under his control and might even gain Liu kang's soul in the next game for all we know
