What was the "good news" ?

You can use a mame with kaillera to play online.

I saw videos of people playing online emulators, but SF and DBZ games, but never knew about MK... is interesting, but if someone really wants it then MKAK is a better option, more people online and all.

PS - I saw the label in your avatar and I was "wtf? why I dont have one of those", then I realized is part of your avatar lol

What Arcade Kollection? I donn't care, let them insert it in some holes in their bodies. Don't get it wrong, I'm still absolutely upset with what we have after expecting MK HD.
Hope for more DLC (costumes, arenas, -alities).

Yes, both hands up:)

If we all acknowledge it, will you stop mentioning in all the time?

No. Unless they annaunced the promised MK HD with new sprites. We must say it again and again, with big sized fonts, with red color. We WANT, we are OBSESSED in MK HD, and we DON'T think it will look "wrong".

Yes, Im with you.
Im not obsessed about it, but I would like to have it, I have friends that were wating for it to be realese so I dl it to play, they are big MK fans, they are older than me and they played in arcades during their childhood. They were dissapointed when I told them the HD feature was cancelled.

I don't understand why people want the arcade collection, you can already buy the games as it is. They are just making even more money off of them. If you're a true MK fan you should have them already anyways.

SIMPLE! ONLINE PLAY! Of course I own every Mortal Kombat game, probably 3 versions of MK2 alone (arcade port), hahaha but the fact of the matter remains... We're getting MK1 online! I would pay $40 for that alone!!!! I already have UMK3 on X-360, and MK2 on PS3... but I really cant wait for MK1! Anyways, all 3 games are online! and its worth the $10.00 tag

:P

My only problem with Arcade Kollection is that I already have MK2 on PS3 and UMK3 on Xbox... I wished they released the games separately

Hey guys:) Saying "I'll buy MK AK" you accept "No MK HDK? Well, OK...".
So, even if you're gonna buy it, better stay dumb. They must make sure that canceling MK HD was a bad idea and will get them nowhere.

I don't care about HD, leave that to tv and movies.
I want the klassics left alone.
I'm buying MK Arcade Kollection and I'm not dumb for doing it, either.

Expecting Online to work with MKAC is like hoping to see the Easter Bunny. Just doesn't happen :)

@sub-zera
Not really sure how supporting your game franchise is dumb. Or how 3 games for 10$ is dumb.

May not meet people's expectations, but doesn't mean they are dumb for buying it.

MK:AK looks pretty decent with scanlines on (arcade mode)... but somehow the scanlines look uneven on my lcd. Does this happen to anyone else?

I have quite a large HD monitor for my PC which I also use for my 360, so that probably helps. The scanlines for SF III HD give it that nice retro look if that's what the purists are looking for.

As for your LCD, it might have something to do with the screen resolution. I know on System Settings for the 360, you can play around with the resolutions to get the best look for you on your monitor. Give it a go, maybe you need to just turn it up or down a notch on your resolution.

Well, I have the PS3 version, so it chooses its resulution arbitrarily. 720p, I think.
