Freddy Krueger Thread - "Come To Freddy"

DCP, you keep on hating on Freddy, you have every right to, like all those people on Freddies jock say, haters gonna hate, and Zoidberg's just hatin on you.
Now, my problem with Freddy is that while I was just playing online, ALL OF MY PROJECTILES WENT THROUGH FREDDY!! is this one his moves, an enhanced version of a move, or is there just a problem??

did i mention i dislike freddy being in Mortal Kombat??

You can use his dream shift to go through projetiles similar to smokes move.

But I noticed that if you knock freddy down then throw a projctile soon after he gets up it will go right through him. Just a bug, nrs will fix sometime hopefully

If not bomb trap then I'm not sure what glitch your speaking of. And that is besides the point, mk3 costume is banned, and cyrax is getting nerfed. So no he wont be doing that damage for long and no he isn't fine

what is cyrax getting nerfed? the only thing ive heard of is his bombtrap thats still (unintentionally) on the mk3 costume...in which case...cyrax will still be doing crazy combo damage as he doesnt rely on the bombtrap for it.

edit: more ontopic now....

freddy is looking good, im curious to see how safe/fast his strings/normals/specials are. right now he appears to be a char to zone to build meter then punish using meter for big damage as well as having antizone tools.

he seems like a complete package, as such im sure he will be nerfed in a hurry

Ok no need to be hostile, i already told the other guy cyrax's damage is being nerfed so i assumed you would have read it.

so to make it clear, his resets are getting nerfed you wont be able to do them anymore resulting in 80% damage.

and ive heard his damage is being toned down so you cant do 54% damage on his brainless ex bomb uppercut combo, though i cannot confirm this.

Here's a rather lengthy combo string that I came up with that I haven't been able to get together because of timing issues:

Start off with Sweet Dreams (DF4) from jump distance, jump in and hit with 1 or 2, go directly to In Your Dreams (B1, 2, U1), jump and 1 or 2, dash in close, F4,2,1.

This should be able to be followed with a mid Hell Spike, EX Hell Spike x 2 or his X-Ray from what I've been able to gather from messing around in training mode. Again, haven't been able to perfect all of the timing of it to string it all together and I don't have a recording device for my PS3. If anybody has or can pull this off and recorded it, please post a link to the thread.

*edit* managed to pull off the combo starting with the In Your Dreams portion and ending it in the corner with his X-Ray. 12 hits/51% damage. Would post video but can't.

a simple X-Ray combo that I've done: F4,2,1,X-Ray. 8 hits/48%damage

It would appear so. Either that or NRS purposely did that to aggravate the angry masses even more. His X-Ray goes for 5 hits/36% damage, so I suppose it's not too far out of line.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but I found a corner combo.

Forward + 4,2,1, Hell Spike (Close), Forward + 4,2,1, X-Ray [12 Hits and 54% Damage]

The fact that he can potentionally land an 80% combo and pretty much match over just by getting you in the net once or twice depending on a breaker is insane.

Breaking mid combo after he lands 57% of it is no prize

Here are three I came up with (sorry if already posted):

(corner) F4, 2, 1, Ex Hellspike, f4, 2, 1, Hellspike, f4, 2, 1, Hellspike 12 hits 58% (Simple, but effective)

(corner x-ray) forward jump 1 or 2, b1, 2, u1, Hellspike, f4, 2, 1, x-ray 13 hits 51%

(anywhere) forward jump 1 or 2, b1, 2, u1, ex Hellspike, f4, 2, 1 8 hits 37%


*EDIT* A good way to stress your opponent is to do the third one I listed, then Ex Hellspike, dash, f4, 2, 1 (25% (I think)) which together takes roughly 62%. Just some food for thought.
